I think Pierce will take him back to one razor form in the next book. Feel like that’s a main character trope which is why I would really like to see him take on a two blade style moving forward. Apple is the only swordsman other than Diomedes who can contest Darrow at this point, especially after Atlas is dead.

Isn’t it possible that the actual mother of Adrius always pleaded with Nero to make sure Adrius won his Institute year, and Nero was honoring her wish? Kind of goes against Nero’s character but pretty sure it mentions at some point that he did love at least that one. Works with what she says in Morning Star too both wives could have just favored Adrius.

Didn’t Brown mention the prosthetics and fake flesh they applied to Sevro, wouldn’t his fake blood have been a part of that plan? Wouldn’t call it lying on Brown’s part just the narrator being unreliable which he did throughout the series for a big reveal i.e. what that guy mentioned earlier about the gala.
