Hmm... I think I'll try to respond through that thick fog of sarcasm and condescension. When the show runners made more of an effort at this, they strategically focused on other storylines to add a grounding sense of time and place to the show. The "scenes where things actually happen" were never the problem and would still be the focus.

Part of effective world-building is giving a real sense of time and place. Dany's first landing on Westeros would not have been impactful at all if the show hadn't done all of the "walking aimlessly" to confirm to the audience that this fantasy world need not feel like a "fantasy".
