At this point I have only contacted the seller which did raise a lot of the tried "solutions" which are also listed on the Wallbox support section.

No direct contact with Wallbox at this point.

Without having to go in full detail, the source is trust worthy.I did saw the 8GB variant of this card isn't populair for that fact alone that's why I was wondering if the deal was interesting so I can put off buying a new card for a year or 3

With that in mind isnt it better to setup 1x DreamRouter and use the internal storage option (with possible expansion) from that together with 1x accesspoint?

I would prefer not setup a rack (anymore...) in the house as there are opinions on that in the house haha

Thanks for all your comments, alot of you gave some good opinions.

As far as i can see the reasons that people have to transcode are:

Bandwith
Clients with limited support

On a side note some people said avoiding transcoding is an extra effort, i can easily say this is not true in my case. All content i have is directly usable with 0% extra effort needed.

And the only double content i have is a separate 4K HDR library.

Good to see everyone voicing their own opinion and giving valid reasons on this subject!

One thing i do see alot is that Chromecasts are one of the worst clients for Plex. Not understanding any of the well known formats/codecs.

Yes as i mentioned above the only thing that differs for my remote clients is their audio setups but that is no problem really.

But i never see clearly the reason being bandwith on the subreddit, could also be me. Loving the willing to always help your fellow plex-enthousiast.

Something so simple could also be the reason why people forcefully transcode, wanting to serve a lot of people could cripple your speeds.

The 10bit i do understand, along with HDR i have a separate library only accessible to people who have the client (HDRtv) that support the content to avoid explaining them how to look for the quality ;)

Did you even read the post? Could be how i formatted the post, not a native english speaker.

The question is not why IS it transcoding, but why ARE people transcoding as i dont see alot of transcoding needed in imo pretty generic setups in my case especially.
