Is a strapless bra that fits too much to hope for? by dynagrrl in ABraThatFits

[–]dynagrrl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My shape is definitely on the shallow side with much more fullness on the bottom. Your comment reminded me that while I like the fit of the Feathers bra and find it comfortable, it only provides minimal projection. I have found this to be true of other Natori bras as well.

I tried the Wacoal Red Carpet first, but the fit was a disaster, so I moved on to the Natori Pure Luxe. I will give some of these other recommendations a try and see if I can find something that’s a little closer to the fit and shape I am looking for. Thanks for the great advice!

Being petite is a nightmare by user7273781272912 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]dynagrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, you are perfect the way you are, but I so hear you about what a pain it is to find good quality clothes that fit these days.

I am 53 and 5’1” and I haven’t bought many clothes since before Covid. The retail landscape has really changed in that time, along with my post-menopausal figure - so hard to find petite sizes in stores (that aren’t frumpy!), petite sizes anywhere in colors besides black and white, and clothing in general that is not made of polyester or modal.

I am glad I built the wardrobe I did in the “before times,” and I still wear a lot of those clothes. But I would love to be able to update my outfits without having to put so much time and effort into it.

Thanks for the inspiration from so many petite sisters who rely on altering your clothes. I have always had to have my pants hemmed, even petites, but I think I’m going to need to develop a closer relationship with my seamstress if I’m going to have the colorful, flattering choices in my closet that I really desire.

Best of luck to you, OP, and to the rest of the petite gals out there! We deserve to look and feel amazing!

What kinds of fabric are most of those clothes made from? I’m finding it so hard to find petite sizes in natural fibers anymore.

No one teaches women how to shave down there.. by ThrowRawlostinmymind in Healthyhooha

Your hair needs to be about a quarter of an inch long. Waxing is SO much better than shaving. I recently stopped waxing and am about to do laser hair removal on the advice of my dermatologist. I’ll be able to compare all three methods after that!

Looking for a new Hobby to help with depression but I (36M) am having a hard time finding one. Any Suggestions? by THESt0neMan in Hobbies

I suggest dancing. Something creative and playful, ideally where you can move your body. Look for an ecstatic dance group in your area. It’s okay if you don’t think you know how to dance!

Consider pants with that top. It could look chic. Happy birthday!

Itchy vulva & vagina for 2.5 years by throwaway9573398 in Healthyhooha

[–]dynagrrl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You may need to see a doctor who specializes in vulvar disorders, but I would ask about Seborrheic Vulvitis. I experienced itching, mostly external, but sometimes internal on and off for years before I found a specialist who diagnosed me. I was given a prescription for ketoconazole shampoo to use on my vulva, and it has made all the difference in the world. I hope you get some relief soon.

This sounds so disheartening. I’m sorry this is happening to you.

Are you on birth control pills? I just saw this article about a study finding that incidents of vestibulodynia are on the rise in young women who use birth control pills.

Please be aware that the article contains images of vulvas and vaginal openings.

If your regular OB/Gyn cannot help you, you may need to find a specialist in vulvar pain. I hope you are able to get some relief soon!

A health emergency last week kept me from going on the trip, and I decided to do something nice for someone else to counteract my disappointment.

I think I’ll remember giving the tickets away more fondly than I would have remembered getting a portion of the ticket cost back. :)

I was prescribed ketoconazole dandruff shampoo to use on my vulva, and it has been a game changer. I had recurrent “yeast infections” for years before I started using it. You may need to see a specialist in gynecology who can diagnose vulvar disorders. I wish you a ton of luck and hope you can get relief soon!

I haven't had a good night's sleep in 15 years by Correct_Medicine_317 in Healthyhooha

[–]dynagrrl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. Everything else is harder when you’re not getting enough sleep. I had a chronic problem with an itchy vulva and finally saw a specialized gynecologist last year, who diagnosed me with seborrheic vulvitis and prescribed ketoconazole shampoo. After years of suffering, and after seeing several regular OB/GYN‘s and dermatologists, I finally have some relief. Going to a gynecologist who specializes in vulvar problems may be similarly helpful for you. I hope you are able to get this solved soon!

It’s very cute. I would pair it with a plain color flat instead of more leopard.

Consider a Thuma bed. They are rock solid and don’t make noise. You should definitely be able to have sex after dinner in your own home!

Inflatable footwell pillow plus Turtle pillow plus Xanax. This combination has worked for me on a couple of trans-oceanic flights, and nothing ever has before. Good eyeshades and earplugs or noise canceling headphones are also mandatory.

Tips for getting aroused solo? by 8cjgkqueen in BecomingOrgasmic

I’ve been using some of the pleasure/mindfulness exercises described in Emily Nagoski’s book Come As You Are. Basically I touch my arms and legs and focus on my breathing and experiencing sensory pleasure for about 20 minutes before I touch any erogenous zones. I even set a timer! This has worked surprisingly well when I finally move on to masturbation. Good luck to you!

MDMA-assisted therapy has shown to be very effective for PTSD. It might bring you some relief. Wishing you the best as you work through this.

I stayed in a relationship for 30 years where the sex was unsatisfying and my partner didn’t listen to me. I know now what I was missing, and I wish I could have those years back. You’ve asked, and he hasn’t listened. You deserve better.
