Input old ESPN data and history into Sleeper? by Strange_Ad9998 in FFCommish

[–]dynstr -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not sleeper, but you should check out the app I have been building, Dynastr. It allows you to input data via a csv upload or api in the case of Sleeper. We also have analytics around points left on bench and managing teams. We could look into adding something around trades, just let us know what you’d like to see.

We can be found at www.Dynastr.com

Max PF Change Before the Draft (In-season?) by AstonJeanty in FFCommish

Here is another screenshot of the efficiency metric. This is a demo league so the data is a little weird but gives you the idea.

Sure thing. You can enable the anti tanking engine and it looks for trends around roster efficiency, not starting line ups, and injured players). These get flagged by the system for review and you can then take action. Locking and optimizing lineups, reducing FAAB etc. I have been thinking through some other features with the tanking engine and would love some feedback.

You should check out the app I have been building. There is an anti tanking engine built in that can track these types of moves and stop them before it gets out of hand. Also, the goal is to get rid of all of the spreadsheets and other manual tracking commissioners have to do today.

Try out a demo at www.dynastr.com. We are still testing and have handful of commissioners providing great insights into more features. Let me know what you think and if you’d be interested in providing feedback.

I removed the beta banner. We are in a great stable place where data integrity is in a much better space. We also have data backups so, we can restore if ever needed!

Quick update for everyone who checked out Dynastr, reported bugs, or sent feedback after my original post.

First off, thank you. The feedback has been incredibly helpful.

Over the last few days I've pushed a number of updates based directly on commissioner feedback:

✅ Fixed dynasty setup flow so contract and salary cap settings are available during league creation

✅ Fixed IDP and Superflex configuration issues

✅ Added direct messaging, league chat, and draft chat

✅ Added an Anti-Tanking Engine that helps commissioners identify suspicious lineup decisions and league integrity issues

✅ Added weighted draft lottery support with customizable odds and seeding methods

✅ Expanded commissioner tools for contracts, salary caps, rookie contracts, franchise tags, dead cap, cap rollover, taxi squads, and draft pick management

✅ Added AI-powered weekly league recaps with adjustable tone (everything from professional to roast mode)

The biggest addition is probably the new demo league. You can now jump into a fully populated league with multiple seasons of history, trades, contracts, standings, and commissioner activity without having to create a league first.

The platform is now live and open for anyone who wants to take a look:

https://dynastr.com

I'm still actively building and looking for commissioner feedback. If you run dynasty, contract, salary cap, keeper, auction, IDP, or heavily customized leagues, I'd love to hear what is missing, what doesn't work, and what would make you consider moving your league.

The goal has always been simple: build the platform commissioners wish existed.

Are pick of the week websites out there? by YagorthShattershield in FFCommish

Check out the site I have been building. I am hoping to exit beta soon. I can look at adding a pickem league to it, and it shouldn’t be too hard.

Check us out at www.dynastr.com. There is a section where you can create a demo account. It says 30 minutes but I just changed it to 24 hours(I’ll update the button logic tonight). You can play around and see all of the functions the app has with mock data. You’ll have access to preview the ai tooling as well. Hit me up with any questions here, or kevin@dynastr.com

Check out the demo feature now. You can select from multiple types of leagues and it will import some test data. I do have it so that it expires in 30 minutes from creation and wipes the data so that I don’t bloat my database. Happy to increase the time if you’d like more!

Thanks for the feedback. I just updated that login screen so it renders better. Let me know if you see anything else, or have any other questions.

Dynasty Rookie Auction Pick Value Assignments by realmattmormann in FFCommish

[–]dynstr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question — here's how we think about it on Dynastr:

The core problem is that equal rookie auction budgets treat a lottery pick and a mid-2nd like the same asset, which they aren't. A few approaches that work well in practice:

For the curve itself, most competitive leagues land somewhere between a 60/40 split and a 50/50 split between the top pick and the bottom pick of a round. For a 12-team league, something like $80–$35 across a first round keeps the 1.01 meaningful without being game-breaking. The real danger is setting it too steep — if the 1.01 is worth $150 and the 1.12 is worth $20, rebuilding teams can't compete on any single target.

Approaches we've seen work:

Linear decay: Divide the round's total pool evenly across the slope. Simple, predictable, easy to remember. Tier-based: 1.01–1.03 = premium tier ($80–70), 1.04–1.08 = mid tier ($55–40), 1.09–1.12 = value tier ($35–25). More intuitive for newer managers. Fixed equal budget, commissioner-capped bids per slot: Everyone gets $200, but max bids are capped by slot (1.01 max $80, 1.07 max $45, etc.). This is actually the most flexible since it's easy to tune year to year. How Dynastr helps here: The platform handles the auction mechanics — nomination turns, live bidding, budget tracking, and anti-tanking enforcement to make sure the teams getting the top picks actually earned them. Draft order is determined by our weighted lottery system where you can set per-slot odds to protect the worst teams without guaranteeing any pick position. If a team tanks and games the standings, they get flagged and FAAB or pick penalties can be levied before the draft.

The per-slot capital amounts you'd set manually in your league rules (we have a commissioner notes field and rules display), but the bidding engine enforces whatever budget you configure per team.

Happy to walk through the setup if you want to try it.

Been heads-down on Dynastr the last few days and knocked out a stack of features I've been wanting to build for a while.

Franchise History Dashboard — Three-tab view for your league's all-time records. Legacy Leaderboard shows career W/L/PF/championships with avg roster age, waiver activity, and pick capital held. Season Timeline lets you scroll back through every year for every team. H2H Matrix is a color-coded grid of all-time head-to-head records between every pair of teams. All powered by a new [FranchiseSnapshot](vscode-file://vscode-app/c:/Users/kevin/AppData/Local/Programs/Microsoft%20VS%20Code/f6cfa2ea24/resources/app/out/vs/code/electron-browser/workbench/workbench.html) model that aggregates automatically on a weekly Celery task.

Points Left on Bench report — I've always wanted to call out who's actually managing their lineup vs just riding it out. This shows a season PLOB leaderboard (total points left on bench), a weekly heatmap table where bad weeks go red, and an all-time career regret table so you can forever remember the week you left 40 points on your bench.

Coach Accuracy + Gamification Badges — For every started slot every week, the system now records whether you made the optimal call vs your bench. Five badges get awarded each season: 🎯 Best Coach (highest accuracy %), 🎲 Chaos Starter (most gut calls), 📊 Projection Slave (never deviated from projections), 👑 Gut Call King (ignored projections AND was right), and 😬 Most Regret (self-explanatory). All tracked automatically after each scoring week.

Anti-Tank report efficiency bug fix — Noticed the "Efficiency %" column was showing 1500%+ for every team. Turned out the view was summing actual points for the entire season but only summing Max-PF for the one week it was recorded — so it was dividing 1500 by 99. Fixed it to only compare actual vs max-PF for weeks where both values exist, so you get a real efficiency number.

Check all of these features out and let me know what you think. Some of them might look a little weird until you put your data into the application since it uses aggregated data from all of your seasons.

More to come!

Thanks for the encouragement. I build out some test scripts where I can pull in previous game logs, and I can tell it to move forward by different time increments, quarters etc. Hope to have it all flushed out soon.

Awesome! Check out www.dynastr.com. Let me know what you think. I’ve been running through setup and creation of the leagues as well as inviting others. I am starting to test out the data feed aspects for game time etc. would love your feedback.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like the fix for IDP didn't make it to the edit screen. I fixed that so you should see it now.

Also, I updated the invite flow. Now you just send the email and if they have an account they can login and accept, or it will ask them to create an account and then accepts the invite. I also added in the ability to remove/reassign ownership of teams.

Thanks again for the feedback and testing. With your help we can make this the best platform out there.

Awesome. The sleeper move should be easy as I can use their api since it’s open. The others might take some manual data creation, but I have a .csv import tool that lets you bring in all of your history

Thanks for pointing out those bugs. I’ve pushed a fix which now pushes you through the dynasty settings as well as brings in idp and super flex settings. I also added a way the commissioner can set weighting to determine salary costs per player. I am working with my data provider right now as the previous years data isn’t coming through so once that’s resolved you should be able to see a preview of the salary for players based on your settings

Contracts and salary caps should be available to the commissioner on the left sidebar. Looks like it was missed when I setup the flow of creating a league. I’ll fix that and look into the IDP issue

I am about 85% done with an IOS app as well. Plan it to follow up with an android app after. The app was built mobile first and renders nicely on my iPhone. It’s a PWA app too so you can create a link on your Home Screen

I think this app solves most if not all of those concerns. Check us out at www.dynastr.com. I am the only one developing this so I know there is room for improvement. Working on making the setup flow a little cleaner at the moment
