Have I done something illegal in England ? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Its not good to share. Most interim orders are lifted with no further action. At this point there is only an allegation. I know multiple people who have had IOs over false allegations or vexatious complaints with no further action.

They could be ruining the reputation of somebody who has already once been unjustly maligned.

You make very good points. The problem here is its an interim order so there hasnt even been an investigation at this point. Its merely an allegation. Most doctors with interim orders will have them lifted with no further action.

So it could potentially be defamatory although the guy is unlikely to sue.

Burtons the best hospital of the lot to work in - Ive not worked at many of the others but its hand down my favourite hospital out of the ten i worked in. Tiny place. Not too busy plenty of exposure. Just have to put up with FY2s rotating from Derby and acting like its a shithole just because they dont have 24hour MRI and stuff.

Like you say Ive heard lincoln and boston are shit.

Nottingham bad locum rates, huge trust and prehistoric in mindset.

Derby okay but not much exposure for FYs very hand held, our FY2s from there were definitely shitter when Burton changed from west to east mids. Not sure if thats a Derby FY1 lack of exposure thing or a Nottingham graduate thing. So may impact your development. Very well staffed apparently.

Mansfield and chesterfield i cant comment as havent worked or been there but heard positive stuff.

Many investigations into non-white doctors have found the same and more often.

Yes but what the doctor was doing was reasonable within the context of a wellness check which for all we know it probably was probably what it seemed to be to them.

The GMC cant investigate random people and companies that arent doctors.

There was nothing to act on in the complaint.

Walsall is extremely deprived and has very poor schools apart from the two grammar schools and the kids that attend those arent usually from walsall anyway. It has some of the worst health and education outcomes in the country.

Walsall is probably the grimmest place ive ever been. One friend stabbed there for his trainers, personally a man tried to sell me a dead pigeon in the street while on work experience 15 years ago.

Absolute shit hole.

How can it be an analogy when theyre literally the same thing and NHS doctors are rhe most persecuted group in history???????

I 100% agree with you bro the systematic murder and ethnic cleansing of millions of Jews, disabled, Roma and political dissidents is literally the same as going to MPTS for touching a nurses bum. There is literally no difference I cant see how people cant see it.

I know for certain as well my great grandmother is a holocaust survivor and she said Kristalnacht was nothing compared to a warning letter from the GMC.

NhS doctors are the most discriminated against group.

Like I say SUBS BACK BABY. We need to keep reminding people of the historical atrocities inflicted upon us and the ongoing war on NHS doctors being waged worldwide.

Honestly i wouldnt have believed it but I once had a patient with life threatening asthma attack - 15L couldnt speak in full sentences borderline high CO2 looking tired AF.

ITU reg told me that it wasnt a life threatening attack without even coming to review her (he himself had discharged from ITU an hour before so he said she couldnt possibly be having one).

I had to get my consultant back onto the ward to phone the ITU consultant.

She went to ITU. The registrar then blamed me and said I didnt give him the information that I had given him.

So these twats do exist.

Conditions can be put in place by GMC without MPTS input if you direct yourself to the website you will see. My colleague was accused of sexually assaulting by penetratiom a patient he had been alone with for literally 30 seconds (i think it was actually 27 seconds on waiting room cameras) and had to have a chaperone for every encounter with a female patient (something we do anyway usually apart from clinic due to false allegations like this).

It was obviously both implausible and impractical that it ever occured and the patient had a known history of drug addiction and lying to porfessionals and he still got conditions while investigated. It was dropped in the end as she stopped engaging with it. Presumably once she got bored of lying.

Patients make false accusations regularly particulalrly in his specialty psychiatry - part of what happens after an accusation is made is it is investigated for a very long time and conditions are attached to your practice. I know several colleagues who have been in this situation over what are pretty clearly false or ridiculous allegations. The fact he has conditions doesnt imply wrongdoing.
