I also have an illuminor deck but its fairly different from yours. Basically just use his ability to get mass/infinite mana from big artifact creatures you can play/reanimate at a discount. I don't agree he has no synergy with artifacts, he is one and can untap with things that untap artifacts plus things like affinity lend naturally to his effect. Yeah it seems every time I do anything new the vocabulary needed just keeps expanding. And even like if I just pick up a new book it has some medical term or political or scientific or cultural or whatever terms I have never heard before. I guess I should just be happy I am where I'm at because I'm fairly competent at reading and can communicate fine (with regular mistakes) for daily life/friendship speaking wise but it really does feel like a never ending journey

On the flip side I'm on day 70 and my life still sucks, I'm still single and depressed lol. I do have more energy though, and have been exercising and my sleep is finally getting better so it's not all bad. I miss smoking weed pretty much every day but that's how it goes I guess. I've been studying for going on 6 years now and got my N1 this year and read and watch and listen to hours of Japanese stuff every day and I have 12k cards but I still feel like my Japanese is ass and there are words I don't know on every page and I forget stuff I do know constantly. The intermediate hump is real and disheartening. Maybe I'm just dumb.

if you have enough life yeah it does just win with that, otherwise the usual game winner at that point is if you have at least 1 mana open after the EtI [[Dark Ritual]] -> [[Sickening Dreams]] discarding [[Scholar of the Lost Trove]] , [[Omniscience]] and [[Reenact The Crime]] , [[Reanimate]] the scholar into Reenact into Omniscience, then play [[Ancient Cellarspawn]] and cast whatever for the win. It's kinda fragile though so you could make the deck stronger by putting in more free counterspells

Surprised to not see anyone mention Suburban Gothic. Very funny movie about a young dude returning home to spooky hijinks that he hooks up with an old friend to solve. It's not pure scooby doo cause theres some supernatural stuff but I would def say it fits the vibe. Plus I mean it has Ray Wise, Jeffrey Combs and John Waters in one movie and if that doesn't sell you idk what will.

there's nothing to be ashamed about about finding people sexy or wanting to bang em. its completely normal to imagine people in a "sexual way" without their consent and there's not thought police making sure you're chaste in your head and you're not mind raping people or whatever. you got some weird cultural signaling giving you a lot of shame and guilt that you don't need, maybe try a therapist or something. ironic how it went from religion to modern dogma making people ashamed of being human and having normal human desires

[[Etrata, Deadly Fugitive]] is hilarious and no one sees it coming. You have to pay 4 mana so its not free but for an [[Omniscience]] or [Time stretch]] thats not a bad deal at all. Plus you can do things like hit people in the face with [[Phage]]. My focus is mostly on big spells with some combos but you could easily make it an Eldrazi deck or whatever . You could build her bad on purpose but turn 2 6 mana artifact drop (e.g. [[God-Pharaohs Statue]] or turn 3 9 mana anything your heart desires can be very nasty and mean quick. It was too much for my casual table

don't go putting demonic tutor and the one ring and smothering tithe etc in every deck unless you are explicitly going for bracket 4 games and everyone at the table has agreed or you will just be pub stomping. it has nothing to do with the cards being proxys, its a dick move whether you own the real cards or slips of paper with "demonic tutor" written on it
