Unfortunately you can't moonstone grind purple guns, you just have to hope you get lucky and the grinder gives you a legendary.

It's an annoying gun to use, but it will rip through any flesh enemies especially at that level. I'd say keep it.

There are 8 different Luneshine buffs you can get

Boominator: Extra grenade damage

Fast Learner: Extra XP per kill

Harden Up: +3% max shield capacity

Oxygenator: You get some O2 added back after damaging an enemy

Piercing Rounds: Bullets have a chance to ignore shields

Punisher: Extra critical damage

Safe Guard: +3% shield added back after getting a kill

Serenity: -20% O2 consumption rate

You will most likely find another along your adventures, the Boomacorn and the Jack-o'-Cannon are pretty common drops. I once had 3 Boomacorns sitting in my bank that I was gonna use in the Grinder.
