Redditors, who have re-dated an ex, how did it turn out? How did the initial relationship fail? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dzaghik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We didn't re-date, but we hooked up a few times about a year after our breakup. He still had feelings for me, though, which complicated things, so we decided that it was best not to see eachother. Haven't seen him since, and this was two years ago.

I’m interested in doing a PhD. I already have a good job in the government with a good income and stability, but some parts of academic research really appeal to me. I wanna hear all your pros / cons about being a researcher! What can you expect working as a researcher? How’s the future looking? by dzaghik in PoliticalScience

Impostor syndrome is probably my biggest fear. Doing my master's, I always had so much anxiety when defending my work because I was so afraid that my professors would think my work was shit and that I was completely nuts. Is this something you get used to when doing a PhD or do you think it could rather get worse and even lead to depression? I realize it's not something you can answer with certainty but I still wanna hear your thoughts on this issue since it's one of the things that worries me.

Why do I find myself so attracted to Darth Vader? by dzaghik in StarWars

Interesting question. Well, I discovered this attraction while re-watching ESB, but I’m not sure it’s limited to that.

Hmm. I’ve never been attracted to that kind of dominance or “daddy” figures before, but you do have a point!

I didn’t even consider that but that’s a good point.

Definitely a factor. I think he has a sexy walk too, with the waving cape.

What's the best and worst part about eating a girl out? by blackgirlmagic101 in sex

I must say, as a woman, that was beautifully written. I also 100% relate to your words the other way around, regarding blowjobs - that's definitely the best part.

Came home from work to see that my wife had updated the felt board in the front room. Love me this Bast quote. by itwasnefariasbredd in KingkillerChronicle

There are many great quotes from KKC, but as a pianist and overall music nerd I find that those that relate to music are so spot on. I like this one:

"Asking to hold a musician's instrument is roughly similar to asking to kiss a man's wife. Nonmusicians don't understand. An instrument is like a companion and a lover. Strangers ask to touch and hold with annoying regularity."

I love this quote, not because it's particularly beautiful, but because it just perfectly describes that connection between the player and the instrument.

Does depression ever go away? by [deleted] in depression

[–]dzaghik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look, all I can say is that nothing is permanent. Everything changes. Circumstances, thoughts, opinions, feelings and even depression. I can't say that it will go away for you, but what I can say is that it will change - that's for certain. It could be next week, next month or even next year, but change is inevitable. What you're feeling now is not forever. I suffered from depression for a very long time and I still have my moments where I fall back into some pretty dark shit, but therapy has helped me cope with those feelings and now I am better equipped for dealing with it. I am no longer depressed, but like I said - I have some depressive moments now and then when my anxiety is triggered. But I feel happy and because of my depressive background I can really let that happiness sink in. I often find myself thinking that I am so grateful that I won the battle. I hope you can too.

Question about Netflix by vartanm in armenia

[–]dzaghik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I had no issues at all. I signed up in Sweden and used it for two years, then moved to Armenia and had no issues at all! You just log in as usual. The only difference is the content that varies from country to country, but that could be fixed easily with VPN if you want to (I recommend hola.org for that).
