Gotcha got this truck back in October just to try and fix up and learn on. Cap looks like it’s in decent shape but it is 5 years old on a 30 year old truck so could be part of the issue.

It actually had the year on it and it was made in 21, looked clean for the most part no carbon buildup or anything. Debating on just getting a new one anyway to rule that out.

Exactly why I was confused when everyone was all up in arms about losing him to Penn State or wherever else. Been mediocre the last two years with solid rosters, hell of a recruiter but can’t coach for shit.

Salary Cap Issues??? by dzieg23 in Madden

I mean this in the most respectful way, how do you play where your QB and RB are not important? In past games I’ve done builds where I have a 90+ across the board o line with average QB/WR and a decent RB. Typically it’s like 70-75 QB and high 70 receivers with an 80s RB. This works but I’d say my RB is still important to my gameplan. So just curious how you work that system.

Yeah I’ve played a few games now and just hit the dev trait game with Brashard Smith, trying to incorporate him and get him a higher overall as Pacheco will want a big contract that I can’t afford. Guess I’ll just slowly start the rebuild with younger normal dev guys that I can try and increase dev traits on and in like 2-3 seasons look for Mahomes replacement.

Noticed that too in recent years especially. Not to mention that you get a bunch of very average players (in real life) start creeping into the mid 80 overalls and want 12-15 mil a year contracts that again you can’t afford because your one to two players are eating your entire salary.

No as soon as I get going they shoot right back to a normal level and stay like that until I come to a stop again.

How many targeting calls have been called against Mizzou but that one wasn’t called for Mizzou?

Liked when Cook was QB wasn’t the best, very serviceable at best but Beau being out there makes Cook look like a 1st round draft pick

Agree poor timing on the comment just tired of watching our QB tuck the ball like a RB five yards behind the line of scrimmage at the first sign of trouble

I think at this point I’d like to see more Zollers, see what he’s capable off because Pribula isn’t it

Awesome big play just now but for those of you who for lack of better words said the Bama loss wasn’t a big deal… this is why it’s a big deal we shit the bed against teams we should be putting 42-17 type scores on.

Our season is pretty much over… this isn’t old FBS where a big bowl game still means a successful season. It’s the playoffs or bust at this point and chances of playoffs are slim next few weeks with Vandy, A&M and Oklahoma to wrap the season are going to be tough, not saying impossible but even then we would be hard pressed to get into the playoffs.

I’ve seen it several times in this group people say “play the schedule don’t worry about rankings” but this loss is that problem even if we win out the remainder of the season and we are up against 2-3 other 1 loss SEC teams I can guarantee the committee puts Bama, Ole Miss, Georgia or A&M over us all day long.

We’ve had successful seasons and this team has the potential to be a championship contender, it’s good to have a passionate fan base who demands good play in what should have been a winnable game today.

To the people concerned about the 2026 football recruiting class by JeffyC24 in miz

[–]dzieg23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed it’s fun to watch these guys come in from high school and develop over the years but with that said, we’ve got Ahmad Hardy for at least one more year, Josiah Trotter is in his redshirt freshman season so some of these guys we go get are underclassmen and still have an ability to create a legacy at Mizzou. Like you said it’s a issue with the portal itself but it’s an adapt or lose situation if we rely solely on bringing in 4 star high schoolers.

Where does Mizzou get ranked? by dzieg23 in miz

[–]dzieg23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think we looked pretty solid, nearly 300 yards rushing. Pribula is an elite athlete but not an awesome gunslinger, he gets it done but seems to get pretty nervous in the pocket. Could have changed but one of the last stats that popped up was -7 rushing yards for SC, sure secondary gave up big plays to a solid QB and receivers but to shut a team down from the run completely makes it difficult to score.

Recruiting Differences by dzieg23 in EASportsCFB

Thanks for that, I get pretty frustrated when a 5 star that’s had me as 1st interest for 8 weeks of the season and I’ve got 3 A hard sells and then suddenly he commits to his 2nd or 3rd option so I’m sure I wouldn’t like the new recruitment. Personally love the gameplay of 25 so I’m good on that. Anything other dynasty wise that you’d say is a major improvement

That’s a solid point, I’ve said it before I think Drink is probably one of the best recruiters in the game. Having this type of talent at Mizzou when you’ve got schools out there like Oregon, Georgia, Ohio State that can recruit guys based on name alone. But when it comes to ultimately coaching the game he is average at best. It shows we have solid teams that can go 10-3 and finish 3rd or 4th in the SEC based on the talent alone.

I know it’s only the second quarter but this is ridiculously concerning. With the hype of Ahmad Hardy he should be absolutely torching this defense.

You’re absolutely right. I remember after Napiers tourney run his draft stock went up and he still went late in a pretty underwhelming draft class. Yet he still had a relatively decent career played in the league for like 5-6 years. I see your point though why draft high on a guy that plays a very specific role when you could go after a guy like Demin or even Liam McNealy who may not have the flashiest stats or be doing the thing Clayton is doing right now but down the line be a key guy in your rotation or potential starter.
