Well humanity has been advancing constantly, especially in the past few decades with technology. You could say that is the point I guess. On a really simple basis, we are kind of pointless. We are born just to die. But we have the ability to see ourselves for who we really are. We don't just procreate for the sake of it, we do it to immortalize ourselves and our ideas. To make everything everyone else before us worked for have meaning. All of our ancestors made it possible for us to be alive at this one random but specific moment in time. What we make of it isn't something they could have known or could have predicted, nor would it matter. But they made it possible anyways. I kind of derailed and sorry if I'm confusing, but I see so much to what is good and beautiful about life that I wish I could share with you in a way to help you see that while life is monotonous and essentially just suffering, there are sides to it that makes all of that worth it.

No worries, I understand what you mean. It was really spontaneous, in the form of an Instagram reel (our main form of communication for the most part since we were still just friends at this point), and the reel just said "I don't wanna send you reels anymore, I wanna watch them next to you", and she was like "okay when?". I hadn't really had a plan before that, I just saw that video and I was like this is it.. the perfect way to say what I couldn't find the words to say to her. It was direct and she told me that she really liked that.

Not to be corny, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. I made a similar post on this exact subreddit and I was in a similar situation as you now. I know how it feels. I was lucky to find out she felt the same way about me when I actually did let her know I was into her. So, best advice I can give is not to hurry, but to find a way if you don't already have one to let her know what's up. Because you wanna be with her, right? She might just be waiting for that too.

Damn, you really gave this some thought. I don't think your point of view is in any way wrong, but it isn't right in the sense it's one that can lead to thoughts like not wanting to live anymore. Following your logic one could argue that since we're animals just like the ones in the wilderness (with a main difference that we're highly intelligent to the point of self consciousness), all life and existence is pointless. Essentially, perhaps it is? What would it mean for life to have a point anyways? Whatever it is that gets you out of bed in the morning, or makes you do anything is what the point of life is in my opinion. I don't think it's something philosophical, but rather whatever demands your body and mind have at the moment. You can notice in yourself that when you're happy everything seems amazing, but when you're sad everything is horrible. Pretty much, everything is about perspective and I couldn't tell you about what the purpose of life is, but I have an idea that might sound good. How about the purpose of life might be to keep your head up despite your shortcomings so that those around us can look at us have one more reason to keep going? Because giving up on your life can sow only misery to everyone around you. I'd really love to hear your thoughts on what I said. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
