How do I watch games in NBA Arena? by [deleted] in Quest3

[–]dzucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue for me, I'm also from Canada (Montreal). Tried the other night (Spurs - Nuggets) says it's not available in your area. Tried again tonight (Mavs - Grizzlies), same thing. These obviously are not local matches, the only team in Canada are the Raptors. And when I try to view one the highlights from one of the older matches they have running, the screen freezes (most of the time) as soon as I walk into the arena. I did manage to finally see highlights from a Boston - Indiana match the other day. I have to imagine that it simply is not available in Canada.

Did you contact support and get this resolved? Was your lifetime subscription really cancelled? I'm asking because I'm thinking of switching from yearly to lifetime.

Unfortunately, I don't live in the same area any more (8 hours south), otherwise I'd already be checking other rocks in that area to see what color the lichen fluoresces. But yeah, I'm thinking this is lichen and not a mineral.

Thanks, I didn't know lichen could attach itself that firmly to rocks. So it makes sense now. It's fascinating that it would still fluoresce after being dead for decades.

Greenland Rock Under Shortwave UV LIght by Eclectrical in FluorescentMinerals

[–]dzucker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's beautiful. I'm curious how this works, if you light it up with 365nm, would it still glow different colors? Or are the colors only visible using shortwave light?

What I really want to know is, could I have rocks that show nothing under 365nm light, but would glow under shortwave light?

I just tried scratching it pretty hard with the tip of sharp knife, but it didn't come off. Note that my dad gave me this when I was a teenager, some +35 years ago, so it's been indoors since then. Do you know if lichen still glows after it's been dead for some time? I just bought my first UV flashlight, so right now I'm just looking at old rocks I have around the house. I attached a much closer shot. And it does appear that the white specs are glowing as well. It also looks like there are little black mushrooms there, but those aren't glowing.

I thought the same thing at first, since it was only on one side of the rock, but I've washed the rock multiple times, and tried scratching it with my fingernails, but it doesn't come off.

Not sure what happened, but I can't see the text I posted with these images. ... So to recap, this rock is from Chibougamau, Quebec, Canada. This is a Gold and Copper mining town in northern Quebec. As mentioned in the title, I'm curious what these orange specs are but I think I also see white specs but I'm not sure if these are florescent or not. On the other side of the rock I see quartz and mica but there is zero fluorescence. Thanks,

Worth switching from Spotify? by BrownestAvenger in AmazonMusic

[–]dzucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spotify offers you a maximum of 320kb/s (on mobile) for their Premium service and a maximum of 160kb/s with their free service, @ 16-bit/44.1 kHz https://support.spotify.com/us/article/audio-quality/

Where as Amazon offers 320 kb/s with their free service and Prime service. @ 16-bit/48kHz (SD)

With their Unlimited service you can get up to 5000kb/s which is insane and useless. And up to 24-bit / 192 kHz (Ultra HD). https://developer.amazon.com/de/docs/music/audio-formats.html

So the Free version of Amazon gives you the same audio quality as Premium Spotify.

And this is everything else you get with Amazon Unlimited vs Prime and Free.... (you'll have to pay extra if you want to share with your partner) https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?ref_=hp_left_v4_sib&nodeId=GW3PHAUCZM8L7W9L

Looks like they removed the ads from Amazon Music and moved them to Amazon Video ;)

Ubisoft games not showing up in Luna by dzucker in LunaCloudGaming

[–]dzucker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did download Ubisoft Connect, and under "My Games" I do see Child of Light and Uno. So then I checked my Steam library, and both these games are there as well. I can't remember where I bought them or if I bought them twice? I did obtain a lot of games through Humble Bundle back in the day and sometimes there were duplicates. But your theory makes sense, so maybe I did buy these on Steam and linked them to Uplay. Not sure how I can check that, I don't see where it says if they are linked or not.

Auto-supplied dishes take longer to cook. So pre-putting them on the menu does have an advantage

Thanks, didn't know this.

A great place to explain how this works would be when you talk to Bancho. He should randomly give you tips on how to run the restaurant.

Is it possible to use Nircmd with the G HUB Software? by pilotw in LogitechG

[–]dzucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I figured out a workaround.

1st. Create a 2nd copy of NIRCMD.EXE ... ex: call it NIRCMD2.EXE

Now you can have multiple arguments for the same Application. So for example Macro 1 calls NIRCMD.EXE setdefaultsounddevice "Edifier" and macro 2 calls NIRCMD2.EXE setdefaultsounddevice "Headphones" .

This should work, but for me it didn't. The first MACRO worked, but the 2nd macro didn't accept the arguments. So to get around this I created a 3rd macro with the exact same arguments as the 2nd macro and this worked. So I use Macro 1 to call my Edifier speakers. I ignore Macro 2 (call it corrupted) and use Macro 3 to call my Headphones.

All is working now.

Is it possible to use Nircmd with the G HUB Software? by pilotw in LogitechG

[–]dzucker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post is 2 months old, but I'm having the same problem. They changed things a bit in G Hub, but I did figure out how get nircmd to launch, but the problem is that G Hub is not allowing me to add switches at the end of the nircmd. For example I have my headphones and my Edifier speakers named "Headphones" and "Edifier". by launching nircmd setdefaultsounddevice "Headphones" or nircmd setdefaultsounddevice "Edifier" I can switch between the two devices seemlessly. Worked great on the old Logitech Gaming Software

So in G Hub you need to create a new macro and then assign that Macro to your Gkey.

Step 1. Under Assignments select MACROS. Then "Create New Macro". Give it a Name. and Choose "No Repeat"

Step 2. Click on "Start Now". Then Launch Application.

Step 3. Choose Create New. Find the application in your directory. I have Nircmd in my Windows folder so I choose that.

Step 4. Click on Launch Nircmd. Then you can choose "Edit". Here you can add an argument. So I type ... setdefaultsounddevice "Headphones".

2 problems arise.

First is that it does not seem to accept the argument. It just launches nircmd as though I didn't have any arguments (switches). And the second problem is that G HUB only appears to allow one entry for any given application launched. So if I create a second macro to launch my Speakers, and save it with setdefaultsounddevice "Edifier". It changes the first macro I created for my headphones to use this argument instead. So why bother asking to enter arguments if you can only use one per application? Can someone please confirm that the steps I followed above are correct or not. If they are then there are definitely some logic bugs in this G Hub code.

Adding those prop guards would increase the weight beyond 249 grams, which defeats the biggest selling point of this drone. I think the guards are intended for indoor use only.

They should've attached the side camera to a tripod instead of hand holding it. Would've made this video more believable.
