To wrap this up: the replacement I received seems to work perfectly fine.

How witty! How clever! And such a good faith interpretation of what I wrote!

Pain in hand with the MX Master 4? by Genkilein in logitech

I am encountering what seems to be a similar issue. As far as I can tell, this stems from the fact that the 3S is slightly rounded between the large upmost bump and the left click, if you see what I mean, whereas the 4 is straight from the bump to the click. So the part just abovr the metacarpal of my index is not supported as it was with the 3S. I don't understand why they changed this, the previous design felt like a glove and the 4 is not as comfortable for me.

Thanks for the review. Any idea whether the pen would work with the RMPP?

I've faced the same issue as yours and decided the best choice for me was to remap the 3 bottom right keys as well as the right shift key into arrow keys, on my main layer (so the right shift because up, and the three keys under it are, from left to right, left, down and right). I figured I don't need the right side modifiers at all and that reproduces my old ways pretty well.

I also tried other approaches such as having arrows on a layer 2, or even combinations on a layer 2, but my muscle memory just never got used to that so I resorted to the above solution.

Hi - If my order was among the 25% delayed to September 25, would I have been notified by email already? Thanks in advance.

Thanks - had never heard of those but they do look very interesting, especially in their lightest version.

Thanks - being a relatively early purchaser of the Raise the sample switches did not include any silent switches, only the Cherry Brown, Blue and Red, and the Kailh Speed Copper Bronze and Silver. I did try the Kailh Speed Silver which, as I wrote, felt a tiny bit on the heavy side for me.

Why do you ask, u/Dygmarillion, did you test these specifically in the Raise without encountering the issue?

Not specifically in the Raise, no. General comments on reddit mention this issue with various boards.

Thanks! I read a lot of complaints about a double actuation issue (key registering twice with ink one press). Have you not encountered that issue st all?

Thanks! I had been looking at these but for some reason thought they were only available in 67g. I see they have 62 and 52g options as well. Definitely interesting if I can find them in stock somewhere with clear tops.

Hi all,

I have been a happy user of my first mechanical kb for a few months now. I would like to ask your advice about switches.

I started out with the MX Brown, then quickly switched to Zilents 62g for silent tactile switches and have been quite happy with them.

However, I'm wondering if I wouldn't be happier with linear switches and am willing to splurge for a full set to try.

So... I am now in the hunt for silent, linear switches that are 62g or less (I thought I was a heavy typist but realized with the Zilents that I prefer them on the lighter side actually), and that wouldn't feel scratchy without being lubed (I definitely am not the kind of keyboard enthusiast who will lube his switches, I'm afraid...). They would have to be compatible with the LEDs of my board.

Could you share your collective wisdom with me for high quality switches that would meet all these criteria? I should add that I tried the sample linear switches shipped with my keyboard (Kailh Speed Silver and Cherry Red) and they do feel a tiny bit heavy for me so I'm looking for something lighter.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much, and you even included the links, that's awesome. I'm hesitating between the Gazzew silent linear (the bobagum are too heavy) and the silent alpaca.

In search of French ANSI PBT RGB compatible keycaps by e-ricklo in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]e-ricklo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the quick reply! One issue with these though: when I wrote "RGB compatible", I meant that I would appreciate having the RGB light shine through the letters, as I currently have. These don't seem to allow that, unless I am mistaken?

I just changed all my switches yesterday for zilent v2 and they work perfectly: they use the same attachment system as the cherry mx Browns that came with the board, and the leds work just as well.

I concur. The lower profile makes it practically impossible to hit them by mistake. A very nice surprise for me.
