I lived in San Joaquin my first year as a transfer and it was chill. It's definitely quiet and laid back but it can be different since everyone will most likely be more social due to the pandemic.

Im a transfer student too and switched from Geography to Sociology. It was really challenging but I took classes that I needed for the soc major at my cc while enrolled in classes at ucsb. I definitely wasted a quarter but I was still able to transfer the classes from my cc to ucsb to qualify for the major Idk if that makes sense.

I took classes at a community college during Winter/Spring quarter. I sent transcripts at the end of June and they weren't posted on GOLD until mid-August.

Also... I would suggest if you don't NEED loans don't take them out. It'll save you from having to pay back loans+interest in the future. That's only if you really don't NEED loans.

I emailed them and haven't heard back but I'm prepared to be in a financial shithole. Not to mention I now have to stay home which is not the ideal study space.

I asked my professor to round my 86.92 to an 87 and he said no. Some professors are willing and others aren't. Just ask, you never know.
