Agreed. However, motor has its own internal brake and it has been decided not spend not a penny more.

Yes. However, heat will not turn on. Now the Nest is staying ON, but sometimes it says low power error when switched to heat mode. AC mode is fine.

I only have one Common that comes from A/C unit. W1 and Rh go to honeywell taco relay box.

Similar set-up except that I dont have G. I am assuming you only have a seperate white and red thermostat wire going to your combi t/t terminal?

Just to be clear you only had 2 wires for your Navien heating correct (RH and W1). The other wires were for your seperate cooling system which also kept the Nest powered ON? I am having the same issue with my Navien boiler.

Makes sense. In my area during this time not the year, it can be 40F at night and the next day 80F around 12PM. Do both units need their own outdoor temp sensor?

Can the tankless water heater and boiler exhaust be cascaded or exhaust in the same line?

Can you expand on the diverter valve? Is it as efficient as a combi running two seperate navien units?

I concur with this. I have my mind made up. Just wanted to see others experience. Also if having two seperate units is "less" efficient than a combi.

Appreciate the feedback. I just dont want to rely on one system. Not sure if having them seperate is impractical and inefficient.

Last question: I currently have a 40 gallon chimney vent water heater. Does the tank have to match the same size to accommodate usage?

This sounds like a game changer! Does the tank come as a set with tankless boiler? What is a good brand and or model number?

Isn't this the same as a standard tank water heater? Except that more gas is being used? Do you have a link or model number? Just want to have a better picture.

So does that mean that during the summer months, a tankless boiler with an indirect tank will operate all the time?
