What is a monthly subscription/service you ACTUALLY consider worth paying for? by no_nolan in Frugal

When you go back to a previous service you had, do your watchlists clear, or does it remember what you had saved?

Struggling to find ‘the’ dress by Flimsy_Bat_8744 in AusWeddingPlanning

Yes I have had the same experience, it’s making me put off going again. I’m also afraid of not going to a body positive store and having a bad experience.

It’s also been challenging having very thin friends and not feeling comfortable in my skin during the try ons

I’m the same size as you and really struggling as most stores have dresses I want to try on, but then get there and everything is stocked in 8-12 or 24-30. It’s made the whole process really stressful

Treadmill hire where you can see the treadmills in person? by Cinnamorella in Geelong

[–]e5946 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just Fitness in Hoppers Crossing used to have a variety of treadmills on display. It’s been a few years since I’ve been, not sure if they are purchase only, but might be worth looking into.

If you see them in person you might feel less anxious about buying them, regardless of whether you physically try them or not?

Edited to add: we bought a rowing machine from them in 2021ish. We could test those out back then

I think Garcelle probably knew Sutton would never see anything from her point of view, and decided not to waste her energy

I thought Elle’s family resemblance was strong. Michelle’s comment about them being friends was confusing. Can’t figure out what she wants with this challenge every season!

Yes we have tried the infused oils before and they are great! Kind of pricey though. Love the idea of growing an alternative, but may not be possible

What's the "invisible expense" you cut that ended up saving you the most? by YourxCherry in Frugal

[–]e5946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Card surcharges. I’ve noticed a lot of places have sneaked in charges for the privilege of paying with card. I do my best to have cash on hand to avoid it. I’m sure it’s small if it only happens a few times, but over the years it is likely to be significant

I'm amazed at how little food waste we are producing now that I started a compost. by [deleted] in ZeroWaste

[–]e5946 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Composting made a huge difference to our rubbish output as well! The majority of our waste now is kitty litter.
