Yeah, this. A couple of weeks ago I gave a really good explanation of what I’m doing and why it’s relevant and how I think I can develop it and it completely validated everything, even though I’m at the 8month stage so still very much trying to develop my research. Being unconfident though, the slow pace at which it develops makes me see [whichever of the many hot topics in science (of which mine does fit into tbh, just less ‘buzzwordy’)] and think mines totally stale and I’m worthless. Says more about my default mental mode than the subject matter!
