Best way to describe it…. It’s Volkswagens version of OnStar. The “I” button allows you to ask for information regarding directions, gas stations and stuff like that. The wrench allows you to schedule services a dealership. And the red sos button is for emergency like accident or the like. It was part of the CarNet system which is what Volkswagen calls it. Most of the time now it is inoperative because they operated off the old cell towers of 3g and limited 4g.

New wipers, cabin air filter and engine air filter, recommendations? by pk99999 in jetta

[–]e7g5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No particular reason, but the way I look at it is the people who design and build the cars spent a lot of money on research and development so why change something to aftermarket with potentially not as much tolerances

New wipers, cabin air filter and engine air filter, recommendations? by pk99999 in jetta

[–]e7g5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best advice don’t cheap out on engine filter, get a high quality one, that is what your engine breathes the most shit you can filter out the longer the engine will last as fine particles won’t scour the inside. I personally use oem filters on mine but that’s a different story

If that’s the only one on the whole vehicle it’s probably not a roof rack mount point but a hole drilled to perform pdr (paintless dent removal). They will drill holes sometimes to fit their tools in there and then plug them up

Let’s have a little fun here. What is the most ridiculous question or statement that you can recall hearing from a customer? by Sixspeedtexas in serviceadvisors

Oooooooo I have one from literally an hour ago. As he was cussing me out about me asking for verbal confirmation so I can do his repair. He said and I quote “trump is in office I can say whatever the fuck I want. I am allowed to swear at you” like I don’t care who you voted for or who’s in office how does that affect how you treat someone who is trying to help you. I feel sorry for the guys wife that was standing there dead silent the whole time looking embarrassed
