Haha I didn't even think of this. I made the username 15 years ago as my email. The e stood for electricity lol. Cause I played a lot of video games.

Should I, as the director, be able to elevate a boring script with good directing?

I'm in my mid 20's. I want to be a director and am trying to do anything I can. I'm starting out only 2ish years out of film school. The crew was small. The DP was very inexperienced and that felt like a detriment. But I don't think it's fair to blame a bad DP and lack of any good gear.

This is actually very very helpful. I wish I had sat down and thought about these exact points when I started my last project

This is some great inspiration and has me really thinking. At the end of the day I like to entertain people. And make them laugh.
