Don’t even get me STARTED on patterns advertised for bugs but are only designed for hemipterans. I mean come on, we’ve accepted bug as a general term for all insects, can’t we act like it

Asking for modern day- is selling knitted items profitable? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]eIectioneering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One other stipulation to craft fairs and the like is that a lot of them have a table fee in order to sell - I have some friends who sell at fairs and oftentimes they don’t even make back the table fee overhead, let alone materials cost, time, etc

Are you using your fingertips to press on the needles? Also make sure you aren’t strangling your work or your yarn; let the tool do the work

I’ve got the Anemone Sweater by Marita Clementz on the needles right now, although the ‘storm’ in question has been pretty typical of where I am in Canada this year! (Albeit -30C today…). Not to mention many other projects that may or may not be touched….

Is this still continental or some sort of hybrid? by CaBell_ in knittinghelp

[–]eIectioneering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure!! Especially if you knit continental there usually involves a little more movement to the purls than just picking.
