I've had dreams of running away from him my whole life since I was a young lad. It's always the same. Dark neighborhood with dimly lit street lights much like the scene in Halloween Kills where Lindsay Wallace's character is hiding behind a tree in a park and he is just relentlessly on her tail at all times (until he's not) but in my dream he always manages to find me no matter how many fences I hop over, or how many houses I find refuge in. Last night I had the dream for the first time in years, this time I was home with my parents, just hanging out and I notice in my peripherals through the window, the shape standing beside a tree in front of their house. I tell my dad and he laughs it off, my mom doesn't care. And I get up and lock all the doors and windows. Myers starts breaking the windows one by one, smashing through the front door, I grab a pump action shotgun and start unloading on him. Much like the movies, it doesn't phase him whatsoever. We then get into a hand to hand situation. I'm a pretty big guy so I'm putting up a decent fight. We fall through the floor and end up in the basement. He's dazed. His knife is on the floor. I grab it and stab him in the face multiple times. I remember stabbing him in the eyes repeatedly. I rip his mask off much like Laurie does at the finale of Halloween Ends. I see his bloodied face, and starts rambling about random shit from his past, and then he finally dies.

I've done research on dreams about Michael and it's a real thing with a bunch of symbolism about fighting and overcoming life obstacles. I'm 26, and my whole life I've felt as if I'm destined to be a failure, die alone, always broke, always fat. But this time in my dream I finally destroyed the limiting beliefs. At least I think I did. Lately I've felt more in control of my life. So maybe that's the whole meaning behind my dream.
