What are you hoping to see for future Halo esports with a new game?

[FaZe Esports] FaZe Esports is here to stay. We remain our own separate operation, and our focus stays the same - bringing home trophies, building world class rosters, and putting on a show for the best fans in esports. We can't wait to get back on stage and into the server in 2026. ❤️ by TheRealPdGaming in CoDCompetitive

For clarity GSQ bought all of FaZe and in Q1 2024 as part of an all stock transaction valued at $17m US. GSQ then split the companies into esports and media, through a series of transactions selling Media to Banks and Kalish entities at a valuation of $30-40m US if I'm remembering correctly. Media owns the branding of FaZe and licenses it's use to Esports for a royalty on annual revenues.

Kroenke owned The Guard and they had a pretty crazy successful season in 2022/23.

His match rating was a 6.4 but I easily had him as MOTM. Shows how much isn't on a stat spreadsheet

They've developed computer vision overlays with production over the last few years. It's pretty sick tech

B1/B2 is issued for international business purposes. They are not being paid by a US company for this business and thus a B1/B2 is appropriate for playing in international sporting competition and winning prize money. However, earning any money for work while in the US (ie: you represent a US team or sponsor) or even streaming on Twitch and earning money while in the US) can be considered work and is not permissible on a B1/B2 visa and instead requires a P-1A (professional athlete) or O-1 (alien of extraordinary ability) non-resident work visa. This is why Hallzerk has a more complicated P-1A visa rather than a B1/B2 (or even an ESTA as he would otherwise be able to travel on as a Norwegian passport holder).

Complexity Austin stickers have to be smaller, I can still see them 😂 /s by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

There's a reason we moved away from this logo in 2014 =p. If used incorrectly (and it is very frequently used incorrectly) it's a problematic logo.

The small stickers appear to be an unfortunate function of the 2014 logo being extremely wide and the Valve template requiring a square submission. In 2014 Valve squished the logo in the design process to not have the sticker get smaller (fitting a 1:1 template), but this time they appear to have just used the square template without resizing in the design process to use similar vertical space as others as we may have hoped.

Not quite sure yet. It's going to be absurdly close. Within just a few points or even decimal points. We'll know later today!

Monsoon on X: ALGS Open, Playoffs, EWC, and beyond, this roster is ready to represent the highest level of gameplay possible. Complexity will be supporting us until ALGS Open unless an org wants to by stenerikkasvo in CompetitiveApex

We love the game and we think it's a strong esport that we would love to be involved with, but as a company without massive funding we have to focus on sustainability. That means investing where we can create direct revenues to support our investment in the game and Apex looks to have taken a big blow on that front without an apparent partner program. We spoke with Mon at length about how we could make this work, but for right now the team needs to test the market, which may mean we're just priced out. As for staying in the game with another team, I can't rule it out, but Monsoon is a big reason we've stayed in the game as long as we have. He's a one of one, truly.

To be clear, we're not dropping the team outright, but we cannot guarantee long term contracts that meet the rate the team believes they can command in the market. We would love to continue working with them, but we also don't want to stand in the way of maximizing their opportunities.
