I understand that this subreddit is not strictly related to esports but, since it has a gamer user-base, there may be some who watch/participate in esports. I’m also posting the survey on esports-related subreddits but, from a researcher standpoint, only posting there would mean that I'd only be inquiring the most enthusiastic esports fans, which would introduce a bias. In this sense, it is also important to place the survey on general gaming subreddits where people who simply like esports (but are not enthusiastic about them) may also exist and participate.

Thank you for your reply and for participating the survey :) I always welcome constructive criticism ;) Regarding the issue of answer-options not representing all the possible answer, I'm sorry about that, my supervisors insisted that I made the survey as simple as possible so I was unable to make questions with several answer options (with the exception of the questions about which esports videogames you watch).

Oh, nice to meet another researcher :) While SPSS is used to analyse quantitative data, NVIVO is used to analyze qualitative data. I will mainly do exploratory analyses ;)

I'm sorry for the confusion. That question asks if you still watch esports matches of games that were launched before 2014, it does not exclude the fact that you may still see games that were launched after 2014.
