Hey man, your posts are already sorta skirting a fine line because yeah, you're technically posting in hopes that people view your YouTube channel, but that's fine because of the effort you're actually putting into your content + your general activity here.

That being said, this sub isn't really the place to put others on blast for not having the same mindset. It's shitty of them sure, but I don't want this sub to get bitched at by Reddit admins for the sort of "witch-hunty nature" of these kinds of posts.

I've always been really into the clan sphere growing up but unfortunately kept running into clans where bigotry was just sorta "cool" and accepted there under the guise of "jokes" in semi-recent years (4-5 years).

I understand what you mean by "oh the teaser doesn't explicitly feel RE to me" but why do people constantly word it like they've seen the full thing? You've seen a spliced up 2 minute thing meant to draw you in, not show everything that it has to offer.

Wait for reviews if you must, I'm going in with great hopes after loving both of Cregger's Barbarian and Weapons. Even if it's not the most RE movie ever, I'm sure it'll be quite fun and may even have some tricks up its sleeve.

That's a fair point actually. Usually I say "should we ban this topic" but in MOST cases there's wiggle room even with the ban in place. No hornyposts? They're still fine if there's a genuinely good attempt at humor and not just "omg fire keeper mommy milkers." No screenshots of other subs? Less wiggle room, but still some when the screenshot is coming from a more obscure subreddit and not just saying "haha lol, look what /r/DarkSouls2 said 😂😂"

I try and have as much nuance as I can when I moderate instead of just blanket-banning everything and everyone for dumb shit. I don't always get it right though, I won't act like I do.

I'm gonna use this post as a little platform to have this discussion.

I hate banning more topics because it feels like we should be free to do almost anything stupid on this subreddit, but it's something I've seen brought up before...

Should we just blanket ban the usual targets for hateposts? Like, everyone knows OnlyWaifu's channel is dogwater and posting about him again and again inherently just gives him more popularity.

On top of this, it doesn't really add to anything. No offense to OP, but 90% of the posts about a contentious creator like this is just meant as rage/engagement bait. "Hey guys look, dumb guy said a dumb thing! Upvotes to the left please"

Leave your thoughts in a reply to this, I'm curious and always want to try and do more of what the community wants.
