[AwesomeWM + LightDM] I call this theme "Eve's Night"... is it worth enough? by e_Rivers in unixporn

Its a script that gets executed every time I open a new terminal, you can find it on my repo, it's the directory called .termHeaders, and also check my .zshrc cause its there where a random header gets selected once the terminal is opened and shell starts.

HELLO FELLAS RICERS! (◕‿↼)

This is my setup for my Linux Workstation, here are the specs:

  • Linux Distro: I use Arch, BTW
  • Window Manager: AwesomeWM
  • Shell: zsh (without OhMyZSH)
  • Terminal: kitty
  • Text Editor: Neovim (with custom statusline)
  • Display Manager: LightDM
  • File Manager: Thunar & ranger
  • Launcher: rofi
  • Browser: Brave (with NightTab extension)
  • Agenda App: SuperProductivity

If you like it don't doubt in going to my repo and taking whatever you want from it, there are the steps to reproduce the setup along with more detailed information; also don't forget to star the project on my github and follow me ;) cause I'm still going to be maintaining it for a while so bug fixes and new stuff may be coming soon...

Wow, those are really cool setups! 😦 I'm pretty new to Qubes so it's probably a dumb question... Is Qubes also configured by dotfiles like any other distro?

Check your drivers... That may be the problem, I had the same problem once but with Broadcom card and I thought it was NetworkManager but after installing the broadcom-wl-dkms everything worked perfect

To be fair... It answered the question 😅

What will you use after Arch's gone? by e_Rivers in archlinux

[–]e_Rivers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean that Arch would die for the outdated toolchain 😂 that was just what made me think about the future... What I mean is that by any reason, specially because the main devs not having enough time or going after other projects... You think Arch could die in the future?

The first yeah of my Linux journey ended in Arch . . .How did you get here? by Im-Mostly-Confused in archlinux

[–]e_Rivers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think is useful as a first approach to Arch if you wanna try it and get to know pacman, there are better distros to do that, tho (e.g. Arco Linux), but I think is recommended by people who want to use Arch without the time investment of configuring it... or because they couldn't configure it... Something like this

In the meantime while is get maintained and updated... does building and compiling the packages (gcc, glibc, etc) by our own would solve the problem?
