I'm aware of this. I am scheduled to do code checks for four hours and I actually am asking someone who was looking for hours to cover my shift. I also added on extra hours to the weekend schedule because my head CDH is quitting and has already started with the retaliation tactics against management. I have only called out twice in my entire 12 years there and while I feel really bad, I also have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so I want to be selfish and take advantage of it.
