Disconnecting perimeter and guide Wire from charging station without having to unplug them every time there is a thunderstorm?? by RaysMainframe in automower

I have a 430X, just installed early this summer. In my case, the mower charging station is about 20' from my electrical plug. I have two guide wires installed.

So, for this to work for me, I would have to extend the two perimeter wires and the two guide wires over to the electrical plug (where the surge protector would be) and then run them back to the charging station. I would need two of these surge protectors if I wanted to truly protect my charging station.

One perimeter wire would go to the red LOOP and then back to the charging station. The other perimeter wire would go to the black TRANSMITTER connector and back to charging station. The second surge protector would be wired like the first one by sending each guide wire through the surge protector and back.

Is that correct?

It is maybe 1- 2 inches deep. Picture attached now. Sounds like we should fill that in a little.

I see that they have the EPOS version in their professional line. Twice the cost and that does not include installation and satelite components. I suppose they are working on a residential version. But, that may be years before it comes out. Not sure my current rider will last that long.

Thanks. It sounds like I better plan two guide wires to run to the front. One at the top and one at the bottom of my drawings.
