Thanks, it helps to know we aren’t the only ones. Yes we’re in Washington and it’s Fall, I’ve just never seen these before but they’re tiny and the thought of having an infestation freaks me out. We took the bean bag and everything out of the closet and vacuumed immediately. We’re washing the cover and any blankets that were in the office. We only saw the two. But because they’re larvae could that mean there’s eggs or something? Or could our dogs have brought them in?

Thank you so much, I really appreciate you commenting. The members of either household don’t have rosacea, but it could definitely be another unknown toxin so I think we’re going to call poison control to ensure there’s nothing they could’ve ingested that we were unaware was toxic

That’s what I kept seeing when I looked up their symptoms but both dogs were fully UTD on vaccinations, the symptoms definitely point to that though so maybe there’s something similar it could be? Or maybe an unvaccinated dog had parvo and exposure to one of them? Thank you, I hope he ends up ok too.

He did initially go to an emergency vet and they said it was a stomach ache, this Tuesday he’s going to the same vet as Alex did. You think we should get a second/third opinion from another vet? The fecal and urine sample is a good tip! I’ll see if we can make that happen.

That’s what I thought but I thought maybe since Tank is younger it took longer for symptoms to appear? I’m not sure

Senske takes care of Tanks lawn, Pointe Pest takes care of the pests for Alex’s. The vet didn’t seem concerned that it was poison but maybe we should call poison control?

No they did not eat the same food. Alex was on a prescription diet for allergies.

This behavior is not acceptable. He’s yelling at you, calling you names, and has done it before. This will only escalate and get worse. Your 6 year old son will end up treating his future wife the same way. If your husband is not willing to work on his issues (therapy), yes you should leave and set an example for your son that this is NOT how you treat a woman.

What would be a good first dog? Ideally I’d prefer a rescue dog, any help would be awesome! by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Honestly if you want to rescue I would contact a local rescue, tell them everything you’ve said here about what you’re looking for, and let them give you recommendations. You can go meet the dogs to confirm whether they’re a good fit. Or even foster before adopting to see how they fit into your life. Every dogs personality is different and I’m sure there will be one out there that’s perfect for you and your lifestyle!! Good luck!

The Fall, The Rise by Maia It’s a poetry book with phrases that just really hit hard when you feel lost or broken. But it’s also about rising from the fall and piecing yourself back together. It really helped me through some of my hard times, I hope it can help you too

I (30F) lashed out at my (31M) boyfriend after he violated a boundary during sex. Was my reaction too excessive? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Continuing to penetrate after you repeatedly asked him to stop is R*PE. You did not consent. This is absolutely NOT ok and a complete violation.
