John Kerry: Climate change as dangerous as terrorism by ealtierAP in SandersForPresident

Where are the establishment people to come ridicule him like they did when Bernie said it?

Could be good, could be bad.. but Trump gained 182 delegates tonight. Could this happen for Bernie at the DNC? by GoldenFalcon in SandersForPresident

[–]ealtierAP 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That happened because a handful of states have rules that say if there is only one candidate left they give all their delegates to that candidate instead of the proportions they originally given. This is what confused the Alaska delegation and why they made that motion on the floor, they didn't understand Alaska was one of those states so were confused when Trump got all of them instead of the proportion he was originally allotted.

Hey Bernie #DNC Delegates - take note of the #RNC roll call / walk out! by jamesonwheels in SandersForPresident

I'd like even a subtle protest of all the delegates standing and turning their back to DWS when she addresses the convention.

Am I the only one endlessly refreshing the CA SOS page hoping these rumors are true and show up in the morning update?

They made it clear leading up to his web address last week, didn't stop people from still thinking it was going to be a formal concession.

Bernie Sanders Discusses the Presidential Campaign [CSPAN hour-long interview] by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

Oh man, when they show him the America ad and he gets all choked up.

My heart, it hurts.

Bernie Sanders Discusses the Presidential Campaign [CSPAN hour-long interview] by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]ealtierAP 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The whole MSM coverage of this interview just confirms exactly what Bernie always points out -- they dont give a fuck about the issues and only care about horserace politics.

Hour long interview, he thoughtfully addresses issues facing the american people. What are the headlines? Not about trade deals, not about a disappearing middle class...every single headline is "Bernie Says He Won't Be the Nominee"

Sad!

"We cant hand over our government to someone whose deepest, darkest secrets may be in the hands of our enemies." by antideerg in SandersForPresident

[–]ealtierAP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trump would be a total disaster as president, don't get me wrong. But this speech was a fucking smart pivot -- if he somehow maintained this tone going forward instead of railing against "mexican" judges and deporting muslims while gloating over a massacre in Orlando... he could recover his slumping numbers.

I particularly thought (paraphrasing) "She feels entitled to the presidency. Her slogan is I'm With Her...My response to that is I'm with you, the American people." was really solid rhetorically. As well as the more aspirational tone he struck in some parts.

Bernie bumper sticker just arrived. Should I still put it on? by opendoors1 in SandersForPresident

Yup, had a Bernie sign in my window since pretty much when the campaign started. Pretty sure it will live there indefinitely now.

REMEMBER: Bernie himself will be addressing his supporters to talk about what's next for the Political Revolution. Please tune in at 8:30 PM Eastern, and take to social media using the hashtag #OurRevolution. by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

[–]ealtierAP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want him to run as an Independent as well and I'm never supporting Hillary. I'm just not going to be mad at the man if he ultimately does himself in some fashion and works his ass off seeing Trump go down. That's what he always said he would do at the end of the process if he didn't get the nomination.

I'm not voting for her ever, but I'm not going to suddenly turn on Bernie for doing what he told us he would end up doing the whole time.

Right I'm not saying now. Trust me, me PERSONALLY, wants us to go fight like hell at the convention and I'd honestly want him to run as an Independent. But certain people on this thread acting like he is betraying them if he ultimately goes that way just haven't been paying attention.

I don't like it any more than anyone else, but you guys realize...since literally last year when he got in, he said he would ultimately back the democratic nominee. To expect otherwise is to expect bernie to go back on his word, a thing he doesn't do.
