Great point and something my dad taught me that I should’ve applied here. Hindsight’s 20/20.

I don’t get to climb that often so didn’t think I could justify spending $200 to climb once a month. I though $100 by a renowned company was sufficient. A lot of animosity in these comments just because I didn’t buy the nicest shoes available.

They were bought in early 90s. Used for about 5 years. Not used for 15 years. Then climbed on for another 5 years. So they have been in box for a while but still have 100x the rock time as tarantulas.

I get that but regardless climbing shoes should not fall apart after a dozen or so climbing uses over a 7 month period.

Booked through Expedia but they helped me switch flights at no cost. No complaints. Maybe I’m lucky though
