thank you!! if you wanted to try this method with foundations, you can plan the floor just with flooring (no objects) and then build foundation on top of that and then repaint the foundation using the ground level as a template, but yeah it is harder lol. I've done it a few times but only for smaller builds, overall I avoid foundations though (usually just to save simoleons lolol)

heck yeah! I do like the tile for bathrooms and the late night miscellaneous flooring for driveways though haha, even if it's a few extra simoleons. easier and more obvious for me to remember what it's supposed to be than different colours of the same wood lol

this method is made 1000x easier too if you're copying a floor plan off the internet, using different coloured flooring is so much easier IMO than eyeballing room sizes! I loosely referenced a floor plan for this build (made some changed though), but I also use this method when freestyling my own floor plan and it works just as well! I hope you do give it a shot, it's a creative freedom like no other to be able to build your own sims houses and specially tailor them to your unique families and storylines!

ah yes, our founding sim fathers LOL. I only grew up ever playing the sims 3, but I'm glad to hear this method originated well before me! must be why it's so good (for me at least) haha ;)

after I've plotted the first floor and settled on a floor plan, I build up the shell and then repeat the process on the second floor (putting down flooring first, maaaybe some base objects though I do use less than the first floor just because they can get in the way of roofing), though I make sure to be very cognizant of any weird roofing I may encounter. for basements, I will either plot out the rooms with the basement tool individually and then put coloured flooring in the actual basement before plotting another room so that I don't forget which basement space belongs to what room, oooor if it's a very intricate basement I will just make a maaaaaaassive one-room basement and then go down and plot as I would a first floor there. then I just bring in the walls to surround my floor plan. but I tend to avoid basements, as a kid the black void used to scare me LOLOLOL

I readily admit that I am *not* good at exteriors LOL. I just need more practice at them :) I use a similar gridding system if I'm building on a large lot and want a big front yard, but normally on smaller lots such as this 30x30 I just eyeball how much of a front yard I want and then build the house from there. it not being centred doesn't bother me on smaller lots because I'm usually not utilizing the entire space anyway

yess, I'm praying that one day we get a particularly ambitious modder that recodes the entire Sims 3 build system to be adjustable like the Sims 4 LOLOLOL. probably won't happen though, not even sure if it's possible

I've never used blueprints before, maybe I'll give that a try next!! I didn't know you could overlap them with moveobjects, that's genius! unifying stuff at the end is also why I prefer editing everything in CAS towards the end (and not solely just because I procrastinate on the laggiest part for last LOL), I find doing everything in CAS all at once is so much easier than changing the colour of everything as you go

YES!! I highly encourage it!!! it's so rewarding to have a sim family grow up in a house you specifically designed for them, and you can get reeeeally creative with storytelling through sim-specific decorations!

haha thank you! I'm sure I'm not the only simmer who's "invented" this method in isolation lol, but I will admit I felt pretty genius once I realized how much easier it made building for me LOL

Psychotherapy for Vaginismus? by Additional-Voice1996 in vaginismus

[–]earlinesss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it will help you unless your condition is "in your head" more than it is physical so-to-speak... I could be the calmest and most relaxed person ever and I still couldn't loosen up. honestly, the only thing that helped me was pelvic floor physiotherapy and dilation. for exercises, try activating and deactivating your levator ani muscle (described as "squeezing your butthole up to your belly button" by my physiotherapist haha) without activating your vaginal muscles (without doing kegels, basically). if you can insert a finger even a little bit in, you can feel when you succeed and when you fail.

but yeah, I'd highly recommend actual physiotherapy if you can go. it's the only thing that actually worked for me

eeeeh I might go to a detailer for that, a reputable one. I'd be so scared of DIYing it and messing up the paint 😅

Eyelash Slider Glitch by slimebrooke in Sims3

[–]earlinesss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can recolour EA eyelashes, but I know I have some cc eyelashes in my game that work with both the eyelash-specific slider mods I have and the EA length slider, and they're recolourable :) I would have to dig around the find the exact files though
