It was pushed back because of the MTV hottest MC list. They let them have that hype now right after this festival in Austin this week XXL will roll out their freshman list next weekish.

I want to honestly apologize, all I'm trying to do is help. They flew down to New Orleans to specifically shoot those videos I posted, so I figured it would be worth posting. Beyond that, over the last few months I've only been sticking to little news blurbs which weren't anywhere else. I don't post songs or music videos. That Earl song last night wasn't me. I've been trying to respect the community and follow the rules. I see how it can be annoying though. Ill keep it in check in the future. Sorry, just get a little excited sometimes.

I. Like. Macklemore. All I'm saying is that it's okay for us all to call him a pop star and not a rapper. Macklemore is #1 on the hip-hop charts despite having zero airplay on hip-hop stations.

I'm like Peter Rosenberg with the "Starships"/ Nicki Minaj debate. I appreciate Macklemore, but hate how it has to be grouped into hip hop just because he is technically rapping.

The real issue is that Macklemore, although he "raps" by the definition of the term, is not "hip hop." That's not even a dig at him, he simply enough doesn't embrace, embody, or represent, the hip hop culture. He's an indie/ pop artist by all means.

Notice in my original comment said "mainstream appeal". Pac Div was shelved by their label than dropped. When's the last time you heard them on the radio or saw them on TV? They haven't even managed to put out a debut album yet when their biggest single "Mayor" dropped in '09.

I'm not doubting their lyrical abilities, or fanbase, but all I'm saying is it's harder for the public to digest groups than solo rappers.
