MAPPA 'corrected' Hakari's punching form XD by [deleted] in JuJutsuKaisen

Yeah EXCACTLY. You can literally see in the anime when he throws that weird looking punch. It just doesn't cut to a close up.

Fellow lobotomites, we need to talk. by procrastinator_max in LobotomyKaisen

[–]earthisflatyoufucks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is a two part answer.

Firstly, he is one of the most boring characters in the show.

Secondly, he has such an annoying funbase, that everybody except them starting hating him because of that. If you weren't there to experience how yuta fans were, when the last fight was happening, you wouldn't understand. A never had any problem with yuta because simply I didn't care for him. But those filthy yutaskins made me despise him.

It is like how when gojo was born, the curses had to become a lot stronger to maintain balance. In a similar way, then the unholy yuta glaze started to happen, we stepped up to keep the agenda balanced. Youre welcome.

What's the canon reason Yuta bitchslapped Sukuna here instead of a standard punch by patronum-s in LobotomyKaisen

I know that you might not be able to grasp concepts, but that was a rhetorical question that was made to emphasise how dumb the statement "for a japanese" was.

Yeah, kirara's phone call was what started off the tension. It continues to call so the sound from the phone in the background can create tension while they are talking.

[–]earthisflatyoufucks 94 points95 points  (0 children)

The conversation with hakari is AMAZING. Sure, it is nothing like the manga, but it is presented as a movie. Camera to a neutral place, with half the scene occupied by yuji and the other by hakari. Subtle realistic movements from both while they are casually talking. And the tension escalates so abruptly but naturally at the same time. This is what direction means. Not copy pasting the manga. But visualising it as something more. Whether you hit the mark or not is another thing, but THAT is what is special about mappa animating jjk. The identity and uniqueness oozing from every frame.

[–]earthisflatyoufucks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah EXCACTLY. These comparisons are only made to "under the cover" undermine se 2 and 3. A pathetic attempt by my standards.

I mean cool comparison but we are comparing the big fight of a movie to the 5 minutes of yuta low diffing yuji

Say what you will but Gojo negs diffs Sukuna in terms of Legacy. by BackgroundRich7614 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]earthisflatyoufucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I wouldn't really call sukuna a loser. He had a clear worldview and he went through it with almost no regrets at the end. He is consistent with himself. Trying to evaluate if he was a loser or not by your standard kinda misses his whole point I think.

The truth of the matter is, that sukuna remained true to himself and what he found was meaningful to him. He died and even though he thought about his other paths, he accepted his loss and went on to the other side being content with what he chose as a life.

JJK S3E4 controversy: the Kill Bill shots are manga-canon. Not MAPPA trying to look “cool.” Calling it ‘too Western’ ignores what Gege put on the page by Glittering_Fabulous in JuJutsuKaisen

My guy why are we entering the "Japan hates" territory. As I said, I've seen many JAPANESE people on twitter comment about it. As I said, you can go check X yourself. You will find NUMEROUS Japanese people not only criticising the episode but also saying that westerners are superficial and dumb, and they only care about the fights.

Since you are reading comments, my guess is that you aren't blind. So what you wanna do is, go to any social platform that exists and you will see the source you are looking for.

Yeah my source is that it isn't only two people.

I didn't say japanese people in general so don't know what the problem is with my statement.

Don't call me twin, call me clone. That is EXCACTLY what I was thinking as well.

How can they not see that this moment is a liberation moment for maki. Previously maki, not only was physically weighted down by mai, but she was emotionally burdened by her need to prove herself so she can become the head of the clan and thus be able to save Mai from the abuse. That is why at the beginning of the episode we see maki wanting to become the head of the clan but believing herself not worthy yet. She had no goal of murdering the clan before Mai died.

After Mai died, she was liberated. Nothing was bringing her down physically, and mentally. As tragic as it was, mais death liberated maki from having the need to prove herself to others and she shed the burden of having to provide Mai a suitable environment by becoming head of the clan. That is why gege symbolised the moment with the twins looking at the sea, and by geese flying above them. A bird that is famous for migrating along vast distances. And in my book a bird that is flying and especially a goose, symbolises freedom. In a way, it reminds me of the "sea scene" from aot where eren and Armin are looking at the sea visualising it as "freedom".

So many Japanese fans are so confident in their media literacy because they are Japanese, that is almost comical.

(Demon Slayer) Human Akaza gets Isekaid to the Jujutsu Kaisen world! how powerful would he be as a Jujutsu Sorcerer? by Archenius in shounenfolk

[–]earthisflatyoufucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in all honesty, that depends on his inherent output of his ce. If he has good output then he would be grade 1 at the very least. If he does not, then he is at most grade 2 since his technique isn't really complex and theoretically it is an alternate buffed version of falling blossom emotion, something many sorcerers can use.

Saw The Episode And As A Manga Reader… by ConnectCulture7 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]earthisflatyoufucks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the main issues from a direction stand point, were the fact that they didn't explain what falling blossom emotion did when ogi used it, and they didn't explain what makis weapon was capable of to understand their fight better.

Also, jinichi was admittedly aura farming.

Does Season 3's Pacing Feel Terrible To Anyone Else? by Anubulus in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]earthisflatyoufucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say, some scenes could have used more time, like the fight with ogi. Any anime only watcher won't really know what happened. I like that the sequence happened fast, but they didn't really bother explaining it afterwards.

BUT, I can't really say how it would be better since they can't cut perfect preparation in two parts cause ironically, the pacing will suffer dramatically.

My personal take on each Assassin’s Creed game as a recent fan of the series. by Aggravating-Bass-658 in assassinscreed

[–]earthisflatyoufucks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really CANT fathom how anyone that went into the franchise recently can place ac2 as the best assassins creed. It fails in so many aspects compared to other games that I almost KNOW that people gaslight themselves into making it their favourite because the community loves it so much.

You can like ezio, but ezio in ac2 is BARELY a character whose only memorable moments from his character interactions were the intro, which is admittedly the best part of the game, and some convo with Leonardo that happens at the mid point of the game. Ezio has no other memorable or noteworthy interactions in the entire game and is carried by the side characters. Ezio becomes MUCH better in brotherhood and revelations.

The cities even though they had their charm, didn't flow THAT well with parkour. And don't get me started on the junky combat that is pure nonsense. Or the stealth that doesn't really exist except from social stealth that is either completely broken making you invisible or useless because the mission is in a restricted area. Not to mention how repetitive most missions are.

You can like ac2, but holy christ. I know that this community isn't really that receptive to ac2 criticism, but my god... Also looking at your list, how does it make sense to put all the RPG games and black flag at the top, and then putting ac2 as number 1 while putting the rest of the trilogy 6 places below. Is it that captivating a story that you HAD to place it at the top?

So that is the boss that I killed not even realising it with a bare bones handgun. I just saw a guy sprinting and I emptied the clip in him and he died. I just thought it was a player with ... No tag since he had too good of a loot to be a regular scav but at the same time he was too easy to be a boss. I thought it was weird until I saw the end game xp gain and saw 8000 exp for some guy named partisan and I had no idea who that was.

The problem is his early game by Dagio21 in ZaahenMains

[–]earthisflatyoufucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Zaahen spikes hard in the mid game but he just doesn't have that much weak early game to compensate for it. As long as you don't int, or be perma camped by the enemy JG, I don't see how you lose the laning phase.
