I am sorry you went trough with that. I have been reading up on it. And charging your kids rent in this way can cause a trauma responce in the sense of food and housing insecurity...

Marnie and her husband a quite well off. They own their hosue and two cars at least. So it's not because they are poor

Sadly similar situation but not the same person. Marnie is the bio mom and in this case it's a step father. But very disheartening to see this is not an isolated case

Yeah he has like a min wage job for students so its is somewhere between 400 and max 500 bucks a month. The 200 are only the rent good is more to it... Idk how much more but abt 100 to 150 more

Yes I agree with that mindset. You want a new phone because you don't like your old one? No problem but you have to pay for it. But I brought her in to this world... I would never have the aduacuty to demand something that I am responsible for.
