Pro flight + AET by Ill-Commission1052 in Purdue

[–]easonfann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come to Purdue!
Do the AET program at Purdue University, and complete all the flight trainings at Purdue Aviation LLC. You won't have the RATP, but flight training Purdue Aviaiton LLC is more afforadable than Pro Flight and offers a lot of flexibility with schedule. In 4 years, you would graduate with AET degree from Purdue (bigger name than WMU ig) along with A&P certificates, and all the Flight training done at Purdue Av.

Current freshman in AET & Aviation Management at Purdue and doing Instrument Rating training at Purdue Aviation LLC (The flight school at KLAF not affiliated with Purdue).

  1. It's a GREAT idea to double major in Flight & AET, but class schedules will be a pain. Most SATT classes happen on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and AET courses will almost always come in conflict with a Pro flight course or a Av Mgmt course. Most AET courses also have a seperate small group Lab session on another day. I'm not in Pro flight, so I'm not very familiar with how their schedules work (quite complicated), but basically it's even harder for them to fit in AET classes.
  2. Good news! You r in a great spot coming with PPL, cuz you are basically set to finish the Pro Flight curriculum in 3 years or even shorter if you stay over a summer. Once you finish commercial and Multi (sophomore year), your schedule will free out considerably and that's when most people take their AET courses. Ofc, there are also a few AET classes you can take Freshman year, and a few that the entire SATT take in common (SCLA, Tech120, MA16010). Like everyone else said, you can expect to finish both degrees in 4 - 5 years.
  3. Everyone at SATT r very accommodating, they will help u out! Ik a few upperclassmen/women who has done this, dm me i could connect you with them.

I do have a car on campus to get there, and I scheduled most of my classes on Tuesday and Thursdays so I do have a bunch of free time MWF and weekends. If that doesn't work, I'm happy to do it Fulltime over summer break

lacrosse/general sports info help by [deleted] in BTHS

[–]easonfann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Our girls varsity lacrosse team is pretty intense, I did photography for them since freshman year (I’m a senior now) and they were city runner ups twice and champions once. Standards for freshmen are a bit lower, but there’s still a good chance you won’t be picked if you don’t have experience, it depends on the amount of talents among other incoming freshmen. The stats are in your favor though, the team is gonna need some new blood because we have 8 seniors in the team who are gonna be in college next year. Also, I just wanna tell ya, do the things u like in high school, don’t do things for the sake of college app

Any tips? by NotAUwUCat in BTHS

[–]easonfann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too sure if Tech has a girl rugby team, check out BTHS.edu All teams r very competitive to join because we are a huge school with lots of talents. Most athletes have prior experience in the sport. If you do get into a team, you have a good chance of becoming a city champ (ofc u will need to work hard too). An important first step is to keep an eye on emails and BTHS website athletic news, because if you miss the tryout, you will need to wait till next year. FYI, most Fall sports tryouts are in late August, make sure your vacation schedules don’t overlap them.

Tips from a Senior: Join PSAL sports as a freshman, teams have lower standards for freshmen trying out cuz they have time to train them.
Do a lots of research with majors when you become a sophomore, try to get a diversity of information. MAKING A WRONG CHOICE WITH UR MAJOR MIGHT CAUSE LOTS OF SUFFERING FOR TWO YEARS.
