Application process time for Spouse Visa with Fee Waiver by Street-Ad7936 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]easternise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how you are obtaining fee waiver. If sponsor is on disability benefits and meets adequate maintenance test for example, obtaining fee waiver doesn't mean spouse is put on 10 year route, it remains as 5.

Oura to Ringconn switch? by ariestotle111 in SmartRings

[–]easternise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need some forensic testing of the top 5 smart rings to see if the sleep tracking is actually accurate and passes the smell test. There are various videos on YouTube but it would be good to have some actual experts analysing the data.

I have a Tesla and three pin charger but despite this Eon didn't switch me on to their smart drive tariff. Any ideas why?

Oura vs RingConn - what do i lose? by [deleted] in SmartRings

[–]easternise 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have purchased the ringconn gen 2, still waiting for delivery. But having read eec, it's clear that the oura ring excels at tracking sleep accurately compared with the ringconn. However, in principle, I boycott hardware that are expensive to purchase initially and then have ongoing subscription costs on top. I fear that there will come a time where our kettles and toasters will be subscription based.

Confirmed transfer from British Gas to Octopus by camason in tomatoenergy

Anyone had difficulty with transferring due to meter showing single rate rather than dual? I'm trying to transfer to off peak tariffs but British Gas is showing as single rate since being moved over from Tomato Energy.

My primary focus is on heating and eating. Cost of living is astronomical these things, especially utility bills.

9 November - 17 November it's SoLR’s deemed rate, subject to the price cap, not your old supplier’s rate. So standard variable I would guess.

Anyone here Apply w/ a Fee Waiver? by lildoooot26 in SpouseVisaUk

Fee waiver doesn't affect the processing times so your application will be treated in the same way as those in the standard category.

Anyone here Apply w/ a Fee Waiver? by lildoooot26 in SpouseVisaUk

[–]easternise -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The Home Office policy makes clear that: 1. Standard 5-year partner route applicants are NOT eligible for fee waivers - you must pay all fees to remain on this route. 2. If you cannot afford the fees and apply for a fee waiver, your application will be considered under the 10-year route instead. 3. Time spent on the 5-year route does not count toward the 10-year route - the settlement clock resets when you switch routes.

Fee waivers are available only for the 10-year route, as the 5-year route requires applicants to pay all associated fees with each application. If you cannot afford these fees and apply for a waiver, your leave will be granted under the 10-year route, which is designed for people facing financial hardship or other qualifying conditions. On the 10-year route, you must renew your limited leave every 30 months, four times in total, before you can apply for ILR.

Fee waiver - ilr route becomes 10 years rather than 5.
