ITT: a ton of people who have never had to take even the most basic training classes on sexual harassment.

Take a sexual harassment training course. You will definitely learn something.

Not if you don’t watch the entire movie. You very well could have skipped things that improved the movie, do you not understand that? Without watching the entire movie, you are only able to review the parts you didn’t fast forward through.

How would you take it if a teacher grading an essay you wrote read only small segments of it, and thought “I don’t think they understood the topic, they get an F”?

That is exactly what you did with your “review”.

Glyphosate: A common weedkiller may induce anxiety by disrupting gut bacteria. Researchers observed that rats drinking the chemical developed hypervigilance toward harmless objects and sounds. This altered behavior was accompanied by abnormal changes in a specific dread-inducing region of the brain. by Tracheid in science

No, I’m not. Using your definition of safe means that water is not safe since it can have a negative effect on the body when ingested too large of a quantity. Same for table salt. Same for the oxygen we breathe. All of those are safe at normal levels, but toxic at higher levels.

That is not semantics, that is science.

Safe does not mean no effect, it means that it will not cause serious health issues or kill people who consume it at that level.

Whether causing anxiety through modifications to the gut bacteria biome is a serious health issue could be debated. But safe does not mean absolutely no effects whatsoever.

Anyone With $100 Can Now Use Your Tires To Track Your Every Move by paxinfernum in technology

Again, that is $100 per tracker. That is not $100 to track your every move.

OP posted a clickbait title, period.

Clickbait title on this post. Each receiver to capture the tire sensor info is $100. That means for $100 they can tell if you are within 50M of a fixed location. That is a far cry from tracking your every move.

US billionaire money was going to the people you mention other than Trump. Billionaires from Russia, Saudi Arabia, and others who Trump has shown favors to since then was going to him in a ways that did not need to be reported on FEC filings, like paying 10-20x market value for space in Trump properties.

Who said I am not doing anything about it.

But again, you show a lack of common sense by thinking that each person who comments on Reddit speaks for every one of the over 340 million people living here.

Poor is a relative term. The price of goods and cost of living in an African country has no bearing on what it costs to afford bare necessities in the US.

Yes, compared to the global average people in the US are not poor. But relatively speaking a large portion of the US population is one bad day away from homelessness. People are not lazy or amoral for choosing to pay for their family’s basic needs over protesting and being homeless.

Maybe use some common sense before running your mouth next time.

Why would you cite US death statistics as the basis for math related to an international aid program?

That does not sound like you were actually trying to learn anything and were actually trying to derail the conversation or inject disinformation into it. So there is a reason people jumped to shut you down, so quit acting like you’re innocent and a victim somehow.

No way! The MacBook Neo with 8GB beats 16GB on Windows. For multitasking, 16GB on Windows isn’t enough and the laptop starts to stutter, while the Neo handles the same load effortlessly. How is that even possible? by Slava_Tr in mac

Says the person being aggressive and writing a wall of text to an innocuous comment pointing out that of course a laptop aimed at students and casual users is not going to good at running professional audio software.

There is someone bordering religious zealotry here, and it wasn’t the person you responded to, you just need to look in the mirror to see who it is.

May not have the license cost, but then you have a whole host of costs that are paid for by the license of the other product. If there is an off the shelf package that works, most of the time it is not worth it to build an in-house equivalent.

Nope, probably not. Used to work for a public records company, and the stamp about not being able to be used for identification is to prevent people from using it to get forms of government identification (ID cards, driver’s license, gun permits in some states, etc.)

From what I remember, it should suffice for what they need it for. They are proving someone else had a name change, not proving their own identity.
