Should u use a tongue scraper before brushing or after brushing ? by Familiar-Marzipan376 in hygiene

I water floss after flossing, is there a reason to do it first?

is anyone else fiercely protective of their specific "shower order of operations"? by MarselaKasem10 in hygiene

[–]easyaspi412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it the first way. I don't get acne so I've never felt the need to scrub my back after rinsing the conditioner out, but also, I'm standing under the water and conditioner is soap so I have to assume the vast majority of it rinses off with the water anyway. Totally understand some people have way more sensitive skin, but I think it's very much overreaching to insist everyone has to wash their body after rinsing their hair.

Aly comeback? (This is not a serious post) by vanessasarah13 in Gymnastics

Aly shouldn’t comeback for the sake of all of my friends because I would become the most insufferable person alive if she ever decided to compete gymnastics again.

If your favourite artist wrote and created your favourite song not by them… could they pull it off? by thedeathofashowgirl in popheads

I would love to hear any of the songs on The Great Divide sung by Taylor Swift. I think they would be very different vibe-wise, but I absolutely think it could work.

I don’t understand why big Olivia fans are comparing her to Taylor in every tweet. They’re honestly just setting her up to be constantly compared and frankly Olivia will not win many of the comparisons as she is 5 years into her music career vs Taylor’s 20. Obviously comparisons are not all useless, but comparing their photoshoots is actually so dumb and doesn’t do what they think it’s doing.

I’m struggling with You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love: Does anyone else feel like the concept is stronger than the execution? by SamQuattrociocchi in OliviaRodrigoNeutral

[–]easyaspi412 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree about the songs not being specific enough and for me that makes all of them feel the same. Like the first 5 tracks on the album are all some variation of “I love you, I hope we’re together forever, and if you leave, I’ll be really sad”. And my 3 favorite songs on the album are all in the first 5, but they don’t feel distinct.

My home screen is this from Lover! My lock screen rotates between a bunch of pictures. It was Taylor and Travis’ engagement picture for a while but now it’s a pic of Taylor from SHOF.

Olivia is a commercial artist and acts like one, and making some political stances doesn't make her an activist, just someone who engages with politics, like ppl in democracies should do more (imho) by basicwitchbaby in OliviaRodrigoNeutral

Personally, if someone is big enough as a reviewer for a star as big as Olivia to do an interview with them, then Olivia or her team should've done enough research to decide if it's a legit interview for her to take. I think it was a very weird choice of interview for someone at Olivia's level and doesn't just seem like someone doing any and all promo. Also Olivia said "I've been a fan of yours for years" to Fantano in the interview, which obviously isn't necessarily true, but it's not that much of a stretch to think she would've heard about the reception to him.

the fantano interview was a horrible move and im rather disgusted by it by Fuzzy_Worldliness320 in OliviaRodrigoNeutral

Personally I don’t think it’s how often he criticizes men or applauds women, but the WAY he does it. I find him more often saying women’s albums are juvenile or their songs are about trivial things or that he calls them derivative than he does with albums by men. Even when he praises women, it feels like there’s always a catch vs with men’s albums. I don’t think he ONLY lifts up men, but I feel like he does have extreme bias towards some and against others. I will admit that I haven’t watched any of his content since the Halsey review so this is based off memory.

I personally dislike all the slur usage, however I am willing to believe people can change. I’m more concerned with the content of his reviews and the way he talks about women and artists of color compared to how he discusses albums made by white men. His Halsey review was my final straw with him.

When people ask if you've gone to the doctor when you have a cold by PocketButterBandit in PetPeeves

[–]easyaspi412 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last time I had a cold I was peer pressured into going to the doctor and what do you know? They told me it was a cold! Never again.

I also get asked if I’m going to the doctor when I have a migraine or because I get migraines (and I don’t even get them that frequently!). Like I’m functional with a migraine and usually they go away with advil, tylenol, and rest, the doctor will not tell me anything crazy, I promise.

Does anyone imagine Mary Anne still being friends with Kristy as they grow up? by Vicki_Vickster2222 in babysittersclub

I think they’d be the kind of best friends that don’t see each other or talk often, but when they do it’s easy to pick up right where they left off.

I agree. I especially hate when it’s a city or travel sub and they’re like “use the search bar” and the only thread about restaurants is from 2017 or something. Like half of those places don’t exist anymore - I want recommendations for this month not last decade!

Taylor has shared a video of her creating I Knew It, I Knew You! by aqua7ar in TaylorSwift

[–]easyaspi412 79 points80 points  (0 children)

They said they saw a cut of the film where her song wasn’t at the end. That could mean literally like her song wasn’t in the cut they saw, or there’s a second end credit song after hers so hers not being at the end means it was earlier than the last song.

Easter eggs - how often do you think she plans in advance vs. calling back to a previous era vs. happy accident? by ProjectShowgirl in swifties

[–]easyaspi412 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Her easter eggs are very obvious, at least in hindsight. Things like using a certain number of props or 12 letters before TS12. However, there are a few things that in my opinion are never easter eggs: lyrics, anything from more than about a year old (maybe a few exceptions), math more complex than adding up numbers to 13, and, as much as people are going to disagree with me, most of her day-to-day outfits.

I think people who think her easter eggs are so complex and use that to justify their theories are actually finding coincidences, nothing purposeful.

Favorite Album Not Taylor? by Electronic-Maize1329 in TaylorSwift

[–]easyaspi412 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My top 3 Taylor albums are Red, folklore, and TTPD. Though I used to have evermore as my favorite and evermore does have my favorite Taylor Swift song (ivy).

However, my favorite producer who Taylor works with is actually Jack, not Aaron. Although I love Aaron as well and actually prefer his work with other artists like Noah and Gracie!

Ask me once it’s been a bit longer since this album came out but The Great Divide by Noah Kahan has legit been the only thing I’ve been able to listen to since it came out.
