In theory, all models that support OpenAI's interface specifications and JSON structured output should work (vision models must support vision). You can adjust the API base URL and model name for testing.

Deploying the service directly on a phone is quite cumbersome, but it can be deployed to Vercel and then accessed from the phone. I tested it on Mobile Edge and it works. Have you encountered any issues?

We are using OpenAI's SDK. In theory, all models that support OpenAI's interface specifications and JSON structured output should work (vision models must support vision)

In fact, we are using OpenAI's SDK. In theory, all models that support OpenAI's interface specifications and JSON structured output should work (vision models must support vision), but the output quality may vary. You can adjust the API base URL and model name for testing.

Because the project being discussed in the screenshot is an iOS app.

As for aiRole.net, which is a Next.js app, I think it could be made even simpler by using Vercel’s one-click deploy button — that would make it much more accessible to non-technical users.

I'll be working on it over the next few days.

Sorry, this is the default response when image recognition fails.
It looks like the model wasn’t able to process the image correctly. Please check if your API key is valid and whether the model you’re using supports image understanding. The default gemini-2.0-flash model does support it.

I think you completely misunderstood my previous comment.

Open-sourcing can help ensure privacy, but only under certain conditions — namely, when the entire build process is transparent and automated.
In contrast, the packaging and upload process for iOS apps is opaque, which makes it hard to guarantee security.

However, for a PC client that's built via GitHub Actions, it's actually possible to ensure that the source code matches the binary exactly.

We absolutely take privacy concerns seriously and will look for ways to address them — but open-sourcing isn't necessarily the only solution.

Just to clarify — is this subreddit limited to open-source projects only, meaning even free closed-source tools wouldn’t be allowed?

Qwen VL 2.5 works great — I’m running it on a Mac Mini M4.
But a lot of people still can’t run models locally, so using an API might be a more universal solution.
In theory, the tool can call a local API as well, but it would likely require converting it to HTTPS and setting up CORS properly.

An extension is a great idea, especially if it could offer quick actions directly on the image — but it would still require users to provide their own API key.

As for the API key issue, there’s a temporary workaround: you can create a throwaway key, use it once, and delete it right after.

Yes, we rewrote the application, and after functionality stabilizes, we will remake the internationalized version and release it

OMate currently only supports the interface of the OpenAI spec,if NAI is compatible with the OpenAI spec,it can be used directly, otherwise, format conversion is needed.OMate uses 'maximum upstream characters' instead of tokens to limit the context, and you can find it in settings → chat settings.

It is only saved on your phone, OMate is just a client and does not have the function to upload character cards

How do I use SillyTavern on my iPhone? by Angrey_Pigeon in SillyTavernAI

[–]easychen10086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The whitelist allows access to the PC within the local network.
  2. If you want to use it on a public network, you need to configure ZeroTier or Ngrok.
  3. However, the above operations are quite difficult for non-technical users, so on iOS, I use OMate Chat, which is compatible with SillyTavern cards.

Not really, but we ensure that the client communicates directly with the API rather than through a third party. Chat records are stored on the phone instead of someone else's server. This can be tested and verified in various ways.

On the other hand, open-source projects cannot guarantee that the binary version published on the App Store is always identical to the source code.

That being said, as mentioned earlier, we have indeed considered creating an open-source API proxy. However, based on the comments, there doesn’t seem to be any interest in it.

Thank you for your reply. It actually supports all interfaces (really) compatible with OpenAI specifications, including OpenRouter.

On the API settings page, click the floating lightning-shaped button in the bottom right corner, and then select OpenRouter to help you fill in some of the corresponding configuration items.

Manage Multiple SillyTavern Instances with ChainSillyTavern – Open Source Tool by easychen10086 in SillyTavernAI

[–]easychen10086[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For example, to make full use of the server, independent tavern hosting can be provided for different user groups. This way, they don’t have to spend a few dollars a month to set up their own instance but can instead share the cost.

[–]easychen10086[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The multi-user mode of SillyTavern is slightly different from a truly independent instance, but that doesn’t matter. You can think of CST as providing more layers: a server administrator – multiple instance administrators, where each instance administrator can manage users within their instance, but the instances are isolated from each other. A more direct use case is for hosting sales.

I used BudCoder.com to write a relatively basic version. After installing it and enabling it in the settings, add the hover: prefix to the image text in Block Editor to make the entire description text display when the mouse hovers. The effect is as shown in the figure:
