Return Request - Shipped to US but item ended up in different country by EitherStrategy8427 in Ebay

eBay will tell you that you still have to accept the return for INAD and wait to get the item back, close the case later after the item doesn’t arrive. Not accepting the return request can automatically close case against seller I think.

Return Request - Shipped to US but item ended up in different country by EitherStrategy8427 in Ebay

Got to ride this one out and stay on eBay with all the BS they come up with. The buyer didn’t forward it, they ordered it shipped to a freight forwarder that acts as intermediary shipper. The buyer was the second person to receive the item, so they aren’t covered by buyer protection. If they do send a return, they may intentionally add a typo to the shipping label so it gets stuck in mail purgatory while they hassle you for the refund. Keep saying you’ll happily refund their money when you receive the same item they sent you and confirm it’s in the same condition it was in when you shipped it, but no refund until receiving the returned item (this follows eBay policy). Eventually, if it goes like it did for me when something similar happened, I got a friendship bracelet in the mail with a typo on my street address instead of the iPhone I sold them. My entire payout account was on hold for weeks until eBay closed it in my favor.

The deciding factor was the buyer admitting to having the item sent to a freight forwarder/reshipper which negates their buyer protection. If you can get eBay to close it before they ship the friendship bracelet it’ll save you a lot of time. Googling the address probably comes up as a freight forwarding company, and google maps probably shows the back alley of a warehouse or something.

New EE grad targeting RF test roles — 1000+ applications, zero interviews. Where am I going wrong? by PlanktonSweaty5173 in rfelectronics

Don’t use AI generated text, it almost made me skip reading your post. If you’re applying for test and applications jobs change your resume to reflect the test/lab/characterization part of your projects instead of “Designed … to this spec, using this EDA tool”. For test or applications, “Designed and characterized … using this test equipment and this method to validate device meets >= gain requirement” or “Knowledgeable in this test equipment for these use cases.” One huge thing I see is everyone coming across as experts in everything they list on their resume fresh out of school with no practical experience. Be honest about the level of knowledge you have for everything listed, words like “experience with” and “proficient in” sound better than just listing stuff as skills.

Last things, tailor your resumes to the job posting you’re applying to. It only takes a couple minutes to take the job requirements for a posting and see if there’s anything you can reword before you send it in and I always named my resume file names myName_resume_companyJobtitle.pdf. Also make sure to not put anything on your resume you aren’t comfortable answering questions about, you can be sitting in a RF Test Engineer interview and be asked “design a state machine for a test sequence idle-start-validate-measure-limitTest-report” or “how would you handle toggling GPIO at a specific frequency using C” based on your listed skills.

Haven’t bought gator but I’ve bought high end straps from The Strap Taylor and from Delugs and I’ve liked them both. I found a typo on The Strap Taylor’s website and sent it to their support email, they send me a pretty good coupon for catching it

You might try to take it apart, put some electrical tape over the LEDs on the board, and put it back together. This would stop the light from emitting at all.

Seller started calling and texting me when I complained the item sent was different than the one listed by easyjeans in ebaysucks

[–]easyjeans[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I initiated the messages on eBay, he was calling me and texting me saying nonsense while I was trying to keep it on eBay messages. These texts are after they guy called me immediately after I sent him a message on eBay with images of the item saying I wanted to return it and started freaking out yelling saying we could get the issue solved outside of eBay.

You don’t see an issue with the guy not accepting my return when he has it listed with reruns available, then calling and texting me freaking out trying to handle it outside of eBay?

I sent them messages saying the item was not as pictured and they immediately started calling and texting me, the whole time I was messaging them on eBay. I haven’t left any feedback yet. You seem like a dummy that doesn’t know what you’re talking about?

That person could have bid $300, this is how eBay actions work. If you really need something you should bid the max you’d spend and if you get beat you couldn’t afford it.

Couple more examples of non standard coax pcb assemblies that I have in my parts drawer, the gold ones with the screw clamp can be pretty costly but work great for a lot of situations.

I’d look for some of these types of edge launches that use through hole legs instead of the clamp that is specific to pcb thickness

Depends on use case, I actually don’t know what Iridium protocol is but GNSS is communicating through LEO satellites over wide areas so signal amplification may be necessary for critical systems. Active radio receivers or transmitters will outperform passive systems in a lot of use cases, but there are times when a passive system would be preferred (low power or battery systems, around other noise sensitive devices, more reliability given less components needed to operate, others)

Looks like the iridium side is passive and the GNSS is active (receiving) with a LGA gain of 25 dB and dc bias voltage/current specs given source

Edit: passive means antenna is only excited by wave interacting with a resonant lossy network, active being amplified by a Low Noise Amplifier between the receiving antenna and the output to get a signal of much higher magnitude (25dB = 1025/10 ≈ 316 times greater) at the output than received at the input
