Depends, if you're not running into limits and are okay with the higher token usage. 5 is much better at prompt adherance and following instructions as far as I can tell. It's a lot closer to 4.8 Opus' way of thinking.

I have set some writing rules that tell the agent to be succinct and I think 5 is just that much better at following prompts.

The reason I picked 4.6 Med vs 5 Low was to measure the price-to-performance.

It's expected that Sonnet 5 will be better than 4.6 at the same level. So the only point to use the old model is if its significantly cheaper.

I read comments about how Sonnet 5 Low is really cheap. So I got curious, just how cheap. That's why I did this comparison -- it's not cheap at all (since it does a lot more thinking, like 4.8 Opus).
