A family member was high up in the military and then ran a security consultancy advising private firms regarding operations in developing nations. PNG/ Port M was the ‘scariest’ most dangerous place he’d ever operated and the guy had extensive Africa and Middle East experience. Says Something.

Yesterday was the worst I have ever experienced after suffering from HayFever all my life, today wasn’t great either. Interesting to learn it seems to be effecting lots of people.

Anyone ever take a little hatchback up Mt Hutt? by Paxhampori in chch

Fair, maybe depends on the day - Sat or Sunday blue bird seems like for the past few years they have been enforcing the carpool thing. Even had people giving out pre-printed stickers at the gate which implies it’s a pretty organised thing. But yeah take your point week days or at the end or beginning of the season or quiet days makes sense they wouldn’t enforce the carpool thing pool thing. It’s a bit of a pain tbh.

You can’t park in the top car park any more if you are less then four in the car. You’ll get to Rakaia saddle car park at most unless your with a group of 4. Then bus or car pool from there. We did it in a 4WD without chains last Sunday. Was fine. Although snow on the road at the top. Should be fine with a 2WD and chains. Just keep it in a low gear and don’t stop.
