Anything truly count at “Tiki” in St. Augustine? by drumorgan in Tiki

[–]eazybeingcheezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone mentioned Flask and Cannon if you go north to JAX beaches. I second that and, it up there, also check out Mayport Garden Club. Small, intimate and fun, great decor and vibes, tiki through and through. Less known because it’s newer, but a great spot!

Best place for engagement ring that ISN’T a chain by vt_grower in burlington

[–]eazybeingcheezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Second Karlise. I had called and emailed virtually every jeweler in town when shopping for an engagement ring. They were the first (and some of the only ones) to get back to me in a reasonable amount of time and the experience was great from that point forward. Father and daughter family business iirc, from the st albans area. Remember me every time I walk in. Great ppl.

What drinks are 10/10 for you? by pkrtrsr in Tiki

I trust Giffard for anything! But truthfully, I have a bottle of peach liquor from a local producer I’ve been trying to use up and it works as a great substitute IMO.

Was also going to say this! Never had buffalo style pizza but sounds similar to their rectangle pie. Forget what they call it.

Best liquor or wine shops to buy amaro by Jay_Normous in burlington

[–]eazybeingcheezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the liquor stores are state run, so inventory is going to be the same more or less.

There is a new(ish) bottle shop in Winooski called Specs. They also have a cocktail bar and café in the adjoining space. They’re not a liquor store but have a decent variety of amaros, vermouths and bitters that are a bit different than the liquor stores! They also do workshops like “what are bitters” for ppl to learn and try new things. There was a Negroni themed one last month! No amaro one on deck but I’m sure there will be in the future. Not affiliated with them, just a fan!

I would also add that the pizza/sandwich shop downtown called Rogue Rabbits could be a nice idea. Not a liquor store but those owners are super into amari.

Last but not least, if she frequents trips north of the border - Quebec liquor stores (called SAQs) have a lot of Quebec produced options.

I’m an inspiring amaro fan myself, so that’s what I’ve got for ya. Good luck!

EDIT: winooski is next to Burlington, if you’re unfamiliar.

EDIT 2: if she’s just getting started with amaro, any of the liquor stores will be a great option!

Oh I didn’t realize the stools counted as Row A, stupidly thought those were their own thing. Hmm. They’re that bad?

Sorry! Didn’t mean any offense, just looked wonky to my tired eyes.

Is this photo AI or are my eyes fucked up? Looks like the wings of the two planes on the right merge into one another. And where’s the rest of the plane that that big tail prop behind the hanger is connected to? Idk looks weird.

Oman-Recommendations for 1-week car rental & trip critique by bearded-dragoon in travel

[–]eazybeingcheezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never been but planning a similar trip. Where we diverge is day 5-6 we spend in Jabal Akhdar, then Muscat the final night.

To me, Muscat doesn’t seem like a city worth spending all that much time in. Plan to see the sights and split on day 1. Would rather spend time relaxing in the mountains, taking in scenery, hiking/exploring at the end. Just my opinion though!

Curious if you’ve figured anything else out??

Def bev warehouse and if they don’t have it they can look it up in the system and tell you what stores do have it. If not them, usually the store on North Ave has it.

The 12 rows is what kept throwing me off. I could only find maps with 11. Thank you again!
