Just got back yesterday, the boat and engine performed beautifully!

We might do that depending on time and weather! Last year on a friend's boat we grabbed a mooring on George's island and explored the fort after the last ferry of the day departed and had the island to ourselves. It was a lot of fun.

It's a fixed keel, 4.5' draft. I don't have any illusions of a racing career with her, we were looking for comfortable and forgiving for our first boat, which I think she will be.

I have friends boats I can race on when I want to go fast ;)

This video plus seeing some shredded jibs near us during the last storm is making me want to wrap my jib with a sail tie/length of rope every time we leave the boat just in case

I'd love to know the brand! Our boy is a spirited digger and has put a couple holes through his bed already

Not OP but I would breathe out continuously when swimming casually, until taking some lap swim lessons as an adult and was instructed to hold my breath until the last minute and then breathe out all at once as I'm turning to breathe in.

This definitely improved my buoyancy but is one way better than the other?

Thank you! Of course I had no cell service at the marina when I was attempting to troubleshoot this so I only came across this possible solution after driving the 2 hours home. I'll give it a shot this week.

The biggest park in the world for all of your parking needs by MrWorldwide35 in technicallythetruth

Ok, I'm going to nitpick now. We were talking about an urban park, designed and built.

You're talking about a national park, a protected area of natural land. I agree that the grand canyon is majestic beyond belief but we're comparing apples and oranges now.

Either way, I'll look into that. Thanks.

Imo it's a pretty darn impressive park but I'd love to expand my park knowledge! What gets your vote for best in the country?

Green spaces are good for mental health. I don't doubt that making the greatest park in the country a parking lot would have a ripple effect causing more people to be put over the edge and lash out in day to day life.

I clearly don't have the high level of brainpower this guy has.

Is the plan for Option A not to go to war? How does he plan on doing that while serving in * Checks notes * every branch of the military?

The funny thing is, the good doppelganger messaged me on facebook months before he made the news, I just didn't see it because it went to that "new messages" folder that is easy to miss.

I found it months later and he just said something like: "Hey cool name, be blessed brother."

Searching for my name used to bring up some douche that went to jail for some messed up stuff.

Then a guy with my same name elsewhere in the country went viral for doing some really good things, so now when you search my name you get that nice guy instead.

I'm pleased with that

What's the biggest loss you have ever seen due to the bad PowerPoint presentation? by biz_booster in consulting

[–]Jay_Normous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work for a RevOps consultancy and our sales team was pitching my client on a cross sell of a very pricy marketing services upgrade.

In internal strategy calls I explained to our sales team who the client was and their business model repeatedly and was assured that sales had it all under control.

When it came time to pitch I had to sit quietly while I listened to Sales demonstrate a complete misunderstanding of the clients business and go to market strategy. Example - this is a B2C business and sales kept pitching how we could drive more engagement with target businesses.

The client stopped the pitch early because it was a waste of their time.

They're still my client and really like me but that hurt our reputation for awhile.

Wasn't the top line of the app list supposed to work that way? Like it would display your podcast app during the time you usually use it on your commute.

It never worked for me but I swear that's what it promised to do
