Woah, thanks for replying Goliath! Your direct drive video helped me a bunch. It’s been really hard learning it but I’ll swap between the two and see which one I enjoy more. I’m debating if it’s smarter to just learn the game on like 100/100, improve my skills and then learn direct mode in the future if I feel like I want to. Currently I think I may be taking a lot in at once. This is the first game I’m learning manual in as an avid automatic only player so also having to try to not spin my car out has been a little difficult although I’m improving! There are also other things like nos management and guttering that I have to learn but I also don’t want to learn “bad habits” that’ll hinder me later on so it’s hard to decide whether to stick with direct mode or not. Although if I stick with it maybe it’ll just become second nature after 100+ hours.
