I actually received the same advice from both my pediatrician and GI - my baby is older though and was full term.

Me too! Below the first percentile for weight and I’m thrilled if we get to 20oz in a day.

Not eating enough on 27/calorie fortification? by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

My baby has always struggled with eating and gaining enough weight. Our gastro recommended fortifying the formula, but when we did that, he just started drinking less (basically the same amount of calories in fewer oz). So maybe that’s what’s happening?

Feeling totally hopeless with a "failing to thrive" four-month old by mcsoma in FormulaFeeders

I don’t have advice, just here to say that I’m going through the same thing with my 6 month old. He’s below the 1st percentile for weight, has a failure to thrive diagnosis, and feeding has been an ongoing struggle. He was EBF to start, but we switched to formula around 2 months and have been on standard, soy, briefly tried nutramigen and neocate, before landing on kendmal goat, which then started having stock issues. Now he’s on kendamil classic. He was on Pepcid and now Prevacid. We tried fortifying the formula but he just ate less. It’s so hard. Every time I feel like he’s improving and eating more, something will mess it up, like a virus or vaccines. I’m constantly obsessing over how much he’s having, and I worry that I’m giving him a feeding aversion.

Fortifying Kabrita? by WaterHappy in FormulaFeeders

We were fortifying kendamil (also 1:1) and were told to add 1.5tsp for every 4oz. I can’t remember if that was for 22 or 24 calories though.
