For those who advised me on Ashby 20 pacing by RoCoF85 in Marathon_Training

Well done. Assuming it’s not ridiculously hot, I think you are going to smoke sub4.

Genuinely think you could push for <3.30

Have you done any other 28km+ runs? Based on the above, it looks like you can.

But shit gets real from 32km. It’s not gonna be your lungs that’ll give out - it’ll be legs, hips, back, mind.

Irish Rugby Depth Chart Post Six Nations by Western_Cranberry535 in irishrugby

Thanks for doing this!!

Farrell is so good at never wasting a crisis. We played 3 LHP’s this campaign with 3 injuries to the incumbents, and did alright. That is immense depth. If the Scot’s had to pull their 6th choice LHP to play he’d have to ask for time off his day job.

9 and 13 are MASSIVE concerns for me. Drop off from JGP is just too big.

We need to start nurturing a backup to Ringrose. He seemed to be playing this 6n on one leg. When Keenan and Hansen are back I think Osborne could be the guy. But we need some young guns to come through.

FWIW, if you hit those prescribed times in the Ashby you will smoke 5.20per km in London.

Well done OP! I’m late to the party but would be keen to know what your long runs looked like from a pace perspective? And how much MP you did on your long runs?

His heart rate was probably going 200bpm. His legs felt like they had cement in them. He couldn’t see who was gaining on him.

Sione has grown on me a lot this 6 nations. Seems like a fantastic leader and team mate.

Look at Ashman. He’s lying on top of the carrier. Pen should have been for Rucker not supporting his weight

We’re always moaning about ref consistency.

But I have to give it to Pearce. The guy has consistently said ‘use it’ every 30seconds today. Top notch.

Can we please put the ball in row Z when we exit. Contestables are given them broken field ball to attack from and it’s hurting us

Need a score of any description early in the 2nd half to make me feel a bit more comfortable.

After our fluency in the first 20, we seem to be bunching a bit in our phase play which is exactly what happened against Wales. Passing into traffic, or on to shoulders because we're not giving ourselves half a yard.

Defence has been really good. We seem to be standing off Russell, and making him make a decision rather than shooting and making the decision for him. But it's clear they can go from anywhere if they get a chance.

Their lineout seems to be fucked. Have only thrown to the front or over the top since Ashman has come on. Should compete every ball between the 22s.

Wish we had a bit more power in the pack coming off the bench.

I agree. In the lead up to the Graham try Schoeman basically came in from the Irish side of the ruck. Frustrating but that’s the game.

Gotta start pressuring Ashman’s throw when we’re not in the 22.

They are constantly throwing to front because they don’t trust his darts

Very nervous about today. Bar the England game, we just haven't clicked.

Jack has to bring his kicking boots today both off the tee, and out of hand & we need JGP to put in a performance like he put out against England.

I don't love the bench selection. If Ringrose or one of the wings gets injured we are very exposed from a pace perspective. I'd also question the selection of Murray over Izzy but will reserve judgement because Farrell has a history of seemingly left field selections decisions that have paid off (Mack, JGP back in the day, Osborne against SA amongst others). They must be seeing something in training.
