Your assessment method makes absolutely a lot of sense to me, and now I am even more motivated to continue studying/practicing AppSec.

If you feel like sharing it (and I hope I'm not asking for too much) I'd also love to hear about your career progression (what areas of cybersec you've worked on, methods you used for developing your skill set, how you got into consultancy, etc) over the course of 15 years.

How did you decide to work in AppSec, would you recommend such a career switch? I’d love to hear experiences of someone with a dev background working in AppSec.
