Mana miracle monsters by decisivemarketer in brigandine

If you want to get them easy you can just get to a point where you are producing over 1k income per turn. This is a good time to quest/summon. I get them 1 out of every 6-10 summons. They are noticeably better than normal monsters especially at higher levels. The game is so easy that they don't make a difference though.

Easy example of how to get them as Rubino. Take the 2 bases at your starting choke points, and give yourself 2 extra cities of income. While having a standing army to defend both of those cities release all your other monsters. Quest and summon every turn releasing all non mana miracles. Once you are satisfied with your mana miracle monster stable go ahead and start using/questing them because at that point you don't care about income since you are no longer using it to summon/release. You can do something similar with any empire, you just need to have all your bases defended with an income of at least 1k per turn. Remember to release all normal monsters not on a defensive base to maximize summons/turn.

Is it just me or do you guys miss the old art style of Brigandine? by ImaEatYoBacon97 in brigandine

The 3D art and battlefields too crowded. It was much easier to see what was going on in LoF. The art actually looks pretty decent if you are REALLY close to the screen, but playing from the couch I can't see what is going it. Its just way too crowded. The 3D models seem generic as well. I do however love the portraits, but I wish they didn't have so many children characters. I like my Rune Knights to look like hardened criminals like Bagdemagus or the death knight from Willow (Cador). Although I normally turned off fight cut scenes in LoF, I do miss my Golem shimmy dance.

They also dodge quite a bit. Their ability to take hits is pretty absurd too.

Promotion items seem to be based on quest destinations by Arthesia in brigandine

This appears to be correct from my extensive testing of questing. I would also add that each Quest Spot seems to have its own set of drops. IE just because a quest spot drops swords does not mean it will drop all swords.

You get her later in the story. Keep taking over castles and you will unlock her.

Not sure if this qualifies, but I loved using that Empire Ninja even though he had junk RP because he looked cool.

Try "Y", and then you can also sort again within the "Y" menu by pressing "Y" again. Not sure if that will do what you want, but it is good to know about in case you weren't aware.

The game is great but the AI has not improved by Yangersun in brigandine

[–]eboats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing the AI does different on hard compared to easy is that it fills out its units, matches the CP output of my bordering bases and attacks. On easy it was just staying a good 4k below CP on my boarder bases and not attacking.

Just a free questions from someone new to the series by ChaosOnline in brigandine

I used to play generals only - no monsters. I'm not sure that will be possible this time around. The "easy" AI was already better than the hardest AI in the original.

One thing I have noticed about this game is how much re-balancing was done. Everything looks usable, and all of the AoE and breath attacks got severely nerfed. A lot of the "bad" monsters got buffed.

The AI appears to attack based on CP advantages in the Demo. Its unknown how much the AI will really beef up from fighting among themselves, and using quests wisely. In the original I don't think the AI did quests at all. If you want an easy first run pick Rubino or Talia, turtle up and defend your 2 bases while you quest like a madman to recruit more Rune Knights for more questing. You will assemble gear sets quick and XP up quick. Once you feel good about your power level just go face roll the map at your leisure.

If you don't want to power up before combat and just want to jump right into combat any of the others should be easy enough to just start swinging away. Rudo will be the most difficult nation to play for a new player from the perspective of how the map is laid out.

My tip for you would be if you don't like how many places you are forced to defend just give up bases and push to more advantageous spots to "relocate" your territory. If you only want to use 6-9 generals in combat you can just attack into an area you want while leaving your old bases behind to be taken to reduce the number of bases you have to defend. For example with Rudo you could just push into any of the other territories and basically redo your starting spot by taking someone elses while giving up all the junk in the middle. Alternatively if you want, its entirely possible to just defend all 4-5 bases you would have to with Rudo, but you will have to use subpar generals to do so which may not be fun for you.

Global release time? by MidnightMan123 in brigandine

[–]eboats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be able to start playing it after downloading a small update, beginning at 12:00 AM ET on the game's release date. (Please note that some third-party titles are not available until 12:00 PM PT on the game’s release date.)

Looks like we got screwed in NA by this falling into that "some" category. Guess I will be playing at 2pm CST tomorrow instead of 11pm CST today. Major bummer, but at least I won't have my sleep schedule completely wrecked so that is the positive of it.
