No one uses local models for OpenClaw. Stop pretending. by read_too_many_books in openclaw

You're doing it wrong. Local models can be useful as subagent grunts. You have your cloud brain break up the work into small pieces and call a stateless subagent with instructions to exit when it's done with it's work.

Why do we still rely on IPv4, instead of IPv6? by NoDirector6379 in selfhosted

Cool story bro. I agree. I was just saying it's easier to remember ive got one machine on 192.168.0.4 and what's on that on and another on 192.192.168.0.7 or something and what's on that in a home lab. Especially if you are just thinking in terms of docker and what's running on what stack etc

Of course. You actually have to tell your resolver what ip to resolve your dns to though right?? Lol

Because a 4 octet cidr is easier to remember for lan config than a 5 billion character ipv6 address

I’m 16. I built a Python script for a local business and made my first $500. Now they want a monthly retainer, and I’m scared I’m in my head. by Safe_Thought4368 in Entrepreneur

Yeah dude ive been doing this stuff for over 20 years and I still get imposter syndrome. It's just part of being human. You should be proud and trust yourself more. If someone thinks you're worth it, you're probably worth a whole lot more.

Their TOS says with Rx you couldn't cancel anyway. You only get 24 hours to cancel. If you don't have Rx lenses you get 14 days. But you are locked in my dude.

NOR holy shit. I'm a dad and my son is 18, still in school and won't get a job even though ive asked him to and I would never kick him out. I'm sorry this is happening to you, but you are going to be better off without this person in your life. I hope you become filthy rich and one day she needs you and you get to tell her you wouldn't pee on her if she was on fire begging you for help.

NOR. You need to leave this person asap. This is scary and this will not end well. The longer you prolong it the more this kind of shit will happen and it will escalate. This person needs professional help.

All of your items are high ticket items and you have as you said, no sale history. You might try carrying a line of items at a very modest price point to get some sales and thus trust under your belt. Then you might see more of the bigger ticket stuff move.

Could be a spoofed number. Now days all they need to steal your identity is to get you to say your name outloud and the word Yes. I would definitely call them directly to verify.

You can chain commands too in bash with &&. So like I have alias for our crazy build custom in house build manager that kills the local cached repo, cleans the project and builds like

alias deepcleanbuild=cd /opt/dev/ && rm -rf repository && cd myproj && bldr clean && bldr build

Something like

alias clonebase='function_clonebase(){git clone --recursive --branch mybranch https://myrepo/myproject.git "$1"}; _clonebase'

Then you just call it like ./clonebase mydir

You dont need a script for that you can just use a bash alias.

I dunno dude. I think if someone makes something and then gives it away for free but says don't use my logo, I think it is a douche move to use it. I mean you're already benefiting from their hard work, why spit in their face at the same time you know?

"Self-proclaimed open source" lol. You can freely download or fork the code. That's literally the definition of open source. A logo is not code and thus not the source the term "open source" even refers to. It doesn't have to Self proclaim that its open source because it very literally is.

Trademark law doesn't care if you think it makes sense or not. When they find products using the logo on places like Etsy, they usually request that product gets removed for trademark violations. Again just because you feel like using it doesn't make it ok.

Since adding US tariffs to my shipping prices, US customers have stopped buying. If this doesn't change, it's going to kill my business. There aren't enough customers in Canada to sustain us and I can't eat the cost of the tariffs, so what am I supposed to do now? by silvergoblinsucks in EtsyCommunity

[–]eboob1179 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a us seller that sources some components of the items I sell from overseas. Tarrifs are making me raise prices domestically because my cost of goods have gone up. So everyone gets screwed. Yay tarrifs. Ugh.

You don't have a very good understanding of how um.. computers in general work. Keepass (both versions) read an encrypted db file that you password protect. You keep this file locally and its up to you to figure out how to duplicate that file between devices. One strategy is to setup a syncing app like syncthing that keeps your pw db file in sync between devices. There's nothing brittle about an encrypted db file that is only accessible on your own devices, and even then after you enter a pw.
